I never said Dez ran great routes or hasn't had his share of drops. He needs to improve in those areas. The blame isn't solely on one party. They both need to play better and more in sync. I don't care if he is injured or not. That doesn't have much impact on my take at all.
So ...
Dez doesn't run great routes
Dez's production is one of JAG
Dez makes more money than most CEOs
Dez is not the blue-chipper who one builds around...
How lucky we are to have him!!!!

When Romo was at the helm he was putting up record passing yards, we didn't win because he never had an elite RB and defense. We missed our best chance because of a Murray fumble and a no catch call on an elite catch by Bryant. But don't let the facts get in your way.
Could have
Should have
Didn't have talent around him
Blimey, the NFL needs a new QB category: *Elite QB who never hit the big time because of circumstances.

Very few 4th round qbs with accuracy, footwork and sight issues?

Also Dez isn't always blanketed. He draws double coverage and even when he's often open Dak misses him.

For instance it's Dez's fault Dak can't throw a functional fade?
Is a fade when you throw it high and Dez still can't come up with it because he's blocked out by the DB? Or a short fade where he's blocked out by the DB or a stop fade where the DB still manages to knock the ball away, or a fade where he drops it? Which fade is a good fade?

@xwalker I'm still waiting, where's the Beasley double team?

Defenses have played true double coverage on Beasley. The network even showed a replay at one point to show it in detail.

In Zone coverage ALL receivers are covered by more than 1 defender.

SHOW ME. Every single week we get clips from the beat writers on twitter showing Dez being doubled covered with Beasley running the only route in his route tree in single coverage. You say otherwise, cool, show me.

The entire passing attack is down. Every single WR is showing lower numbers. We focus on Dez because he's The Paid Guy, but the passing game is anemic. Unless literally every WR regressed, sounds to me that it has to do with the coaching and/or QB.
Maybe I need to start writing this in crayons because Romo fans can't seem to understand this. He is in year two, YEAR TWO. Romo was warming seats with his backside in year two, with a HOF coach. We have a clapping doofus for a coach. If any of you is okay with the coaching staff, then I can see your point on the QB development. But if you have issues with the coaching/scheme, then why would you blame the QB? Now I do blame the QB on missed throws, but I look around the league and watch other games outside of Dallas, and I see the same missed balls on every team, every week.

But when I see receivers dropping balls in their hands/chest, I can only blame that receiver. If the ball never gets there, obviously I can only blame the QB. But then, if he's running for his life and throws an off pass, who do we blame for that? The QB or the OLine?

Bring in any QB you want, and maybe that new QB is Tom Brady. But you'd better bring in a Bill Belichick as well.

Don’t have time to read the whole thread, but I’ll throw in my $0.02. Both Dez and Dak need to get better and I’m glad Dez at least knows that. It’s not uncommon to see a QB go through a sophomore slump, and I’m not giving up on Dak having seen what he can do, especially when Zeke’s on the field. He definitely has a little more leeway from me. It’s a learning curve when you have a new QB, too, but Dez is a veteran WR and should be able to adjust faster than Dak. It also seems like playcalling never gets adjusted for the reality of what we have each game.

Classic Broaddus.

Saying something that means less than nothing without answering anything.

He knows as much as any of the posters on here tbh

We run a offensive dominating time of possession offense with WRs who can not get separation or run by any one to keep them honest... or flat out drop passes (twill, dez)

Yet, our strengths that got us far last season was an overpowering run with comfortable throws and keep away.

Glad we have 20mill of our cap dedicated to both of those WRs

Are you watching the coaches film?
The coaches film is not the only footage of the game. Demanding only the coaches film that shows double coverage seems unreasonable to me. These clips that of the game that get distributed on twitter are just as good at showing how our WRs were covered.

The play where everyone on here blaming Dez. Zone coverage im which hes supposed to find the soft spot.

Blame.Dez.At.All.Costs

No such thing as a quick slant with a zone option 4 yards off the line.

These don’t exist.

Key give away dez gave up, as opposed to finding a mythical zone; he didn’t dig on his route to sit in the zone.

He looked at Bowman, then timidly eased up on his route. He didn’t timidly ease into a zone.

Dak threw a bad pass. But it doesn’t excuse the half *** execution from Dez. We saw Romo throw 100 interceptions towards Dez because of this same deal. He quits on routes.

It’s not uncommon to see a QB go through a sophomore slump…

Prior to the season, I recall seeing tons of fans on this very board suggesting this very thing, and now that it's happened…full blown panic or derision.

I hoped he wouldn't have a slump, but the arguments for it were fairly sound.

Last year, there were mostly crickets chirping given Dak's amazing rookie year and the team's success, and yes, he's had his issues this year, so of course, the Romo mob grabs their pitchforks.

Romonlys love to bash on #4, especially in light of his struggles, but as a few have said, at the same time in their careers, #9 was firmly planted on the bench.

Oh, so now you want the definition of words to mean whatever you say they mean. Just move the goal post wherever you need it... how convenient. LOL

Are you serious? Don't troll me. Nothing to do with mod but ur out of your league chief.
