Dez doesn’t have the same speed he did prior to the broken foot though. It’s clear when watching him play.

Not attacking Dez but it’s true. He doesn’t have the same long speed that he has when he was younger.

Dez was never known for his speed and the common argument was, even when Dez doesn’t look like he’s open, just throw it to him.. he will come down with it..

I should reiterate, that as hard as I've been on Dez, I do still want him to remain on the team - just at a reduced price. I still think he's valuable to the team, but just not at his current price tag.

I know and he has even less speed now.

The speed of our WR Corp as a total sucks.

Twill sucks. Has never produced. Cant beat single coverage consistently enough.

Beasley?

1. Zeke is out and he was a big part of the whole offense. Play action people dont respect anymore
2. Teams are taking him away. The are doubling him. They know that Dak loves to throw to him. Beasley is no longer sneaking up on people. They are game planning against him.

And when Romo was in his MVP year, they used play action half of the amount of times in that whole season then they did with Dak mid way through the latter half of the season including on bootlegs..

Dak simply doesn’t throw well behind the center outside the hashes..

Dez has dropped a lot of passes that would make his stats AND Dak's quite a bit better. Likewise, Dak has made some bad throws that would have made both of their stats better. It's a team game and crap happens but for my $$, Dez has dropped some pretty easy/normally caught balls. He gets paid A LOT and I mean A LOT more money than Dak by the Cowboys. He should make those catches and plays. He seems to go "Space Cadet" quite often. This is just my opinion. Don't hate either guy. Dak is a 2nd year QB that has lost a lot of weaponry throughout the season....he has battled but definitely has had his struggles too.

It’s makes complete sense unless you have an agenda. Dez has had more than a few indefensible drops. Point blank.

AND DAK HAS THROWN EVEN MORE UNCATCHABLE BALLS. the combination has compounded the issues, but only one thing is looked at or pointed to.

Dez isn’t double covered because the most dangerous ball is defensible with single coverage and Dak isn’t great at throwing it. And they devote more energy to taking away Cole underneath and we don’t exploit it
People are not looking at the pocket on these throws. The play that was posted is the OLine's fault, not Dak or Dez.

This is were you lose any credibility. It’s not about hating Dak, it’s pointing out objective truths. I love Dak and am happy he’s our qb but can acknowledge without any hesitation that he has accuracy issues (along with extreme risk aversion). He’s the qb he is and I think he will steer the team in a good direction for years to come. He’s just also apart of what leads Dez to underwhelm.

Dez was also highly productive over the second half of last year and had a dominant playoff game. You just gloss over it because you’re biased.

Also the numerous times his separation was proven wasn’t “a couple of times “ it was a metric that’s been charted over the course of the season and put him squarely ahead of the majority of the big name receivers in the league.

Is he wide open on go routes? No. Is he gaining consistent separation in the middle of the field and either over thrown or not progressed to? YES

Teams don’t double him because his go routes are designed to clear the underneath for Beasley and witten. It is much more effective to focus on that then to double Dez on low percentage stretch plays.

With that said he is over paid clearly. No one has a problem admitting that. It’s the hyperbole on his abilities and lack of any critical thought or context that is frustrating coming from fans.

If you think it’s more honorable to bash one of most popular, productive, emotional leaders in the teams history than to defend him... well then yeah I’m sure I’m not the type of fan you’d like.

I bash Dez because he is overpaid for his current production. Thanks for agreeing with me. As I have said, Dez was great, but not anymore. He simply doenst get separation consistently. Talk all you want about a great playoff game. The stats dont lie. Whether its injury or simply disappearing in games with both Romo and Dak the guy is declining. Its a trend.

The more important thing is that Dak is the QB right now. And they dont have a connection. I would say that some of that is the type of QB that Dak is and some of that is Dez isnt what he used to be.

So at the end of the day, if these two guys cant get their act together then its high time Dez is out of here. Its just that simple. Not worth the money for the production. WHATEVER the reason is.

So this is all Romo vs Dak for you? Romo isnt here anymore buddy. He retired. You are going to have to get over that or be a unhappy fan for a long time.

Even Linehan pointed this out when explaining Beasley’s production. He said teams are dropping DL back while showing rush and and they started to do by the end of last year.

Of course the typical Dez haters even tried spinning this about teams not even worrying about doubling Dez to take away Beasley and I’m like since when are DL doubling WRs on the outside to then stop doubling them to take the WR over the middle?

I mean the Dez hate as the sole reason this offense is struggling is just comical

Two different sets of announcers have said Bessley is getting doubled due to Dez being easy to cover now. Announcers study previous games and meet with the team prior to the game.

Dez stopped because Dak set him up to get a concussion because the Qb didn’t even read Bowman coming off the snap right to him.. and like usual Dak sailed it high as he normall does when inaccurate

LOL........so you finally admit that Dez stopped on the route? Progress. So in conjunction with that, then the result is that the throw was NOT inaccurate, Dez just stopped on the route.

He needs an accurate QB.

How people fail to see this, amazes me

This should be an easy pitch and catch

Exactly, and on this play he's in the slot so it's harder to double him. People need to realize, when he's outside, he's doubled all the time. He occupies two guys on every play. The bigger issue is why can't Williams get open a lot more. He's singled up but he never goes deep. Witten doesn't get the safety anymore because he doesn't have the speed.

Garrett is still here, so you got to deal with it. Just like Dez as well..
