It does, Denver got a steal at this price. He signed early so its basically a 6 year deal with the actual extension not starting until 2026. Over that time its a 6 year /$121M deal. That's not bad for an elite level CB
Are you saying signing Parsons for let's say 5 years $35-38M right now would be a bargain?

PLAYERS WILL ALWAYS SIGN EARLY IF YOU ARE GOING TO RESET THE MARKET WITH THEM

This is not hard to understand, no matter how much the bloggers like Ickes keep making this stupid point.

Also, Denver should have traded him.

Big difference. Parsons wants to be the highest non quarterback in the NFL. CeeDee wanted a contract that made him the second highest paid receiver in the game, and finally Dak wants to be the highest paid quarterback in the league. None of the big three were going to sign early. I can’t stand this narrative that media is trying to put out there.

Well, out of that 2021 quite a few reset the market for their position. Micah will do the same. It's just that edge is the #2/3 most valuable position in terms of payday. Nick Bosa was the highest paid non QB for a stretch.

I have a feeling if Dallas went to Micah and offered him 36mil AAV, and bonuses that exceed the Bosa contract, he would sign it/get close in talks.\

If Dallas went to him and offered 32mil, 6 years, honest offer he would balk.

Well all we know is how this franchise has ran its team in the past.

If they made Micah the highest paid non quarterback in the league righ now would he turn that deal down? If so I’d agree with you. But I don’t think we have that confirmed.

My ideal contract for Parsons would be 4 year extension at $35m per, but I wouldnt be mad if at $38M per year either. With his last two years on his rookie deal that gives you control through his age 31 season. After this season though I get the feeling that number is going to be at least $40M to get something done. If the cap jumps to say $280M next year Micah probably wants 15% of that which is on par with what Bosa and Watt received. That would put it at $42M.

Yeah by the time they sign him they will be looking at 40 million plus.
