LMAO.

I think we should get an MMA bad *** to be our head coach. Then we'd never lose.

What about this guy?

So people really think the Saints will be extra intimidated because their next opponent scored a meaningless seven points inside two minutes against a team with no timeouts?

That's just crazy.

According to the experts, the Vikings were supposed to fear the Cowboys for running up the score against Philadelphia the two weeks before.

i thought it was classless as well but well in the end its up to the team to do something about it and well they didnt. cant blame the vikings entirely for that...

True. The debate should be, "why was the game 27-3 with 2-minutes left to play?" Not whether or not MN scored again .

And only that answer can be found internally, not by finger pointing at the other teams sideline/coach.

exactly if the cowboys do their jobs, this entire thing is a non-issue as it would have never happened. brooking should have instead been pissed at himself, his teammates, and his coaches!

Its easier to finger point.

bbgun brought this up in another thread, Brooking had no trouble showing up the Falcons sideline when we played them...... taunting them.

I also read today, that Keith Brooking...11 years ago TO THE DAY, then playing for the Atlanta Falcons ironically enough, was one of the ring leaders dancing around the edge of the Metrodome taunting the fans with the "dirty bird" dance (copyright Jamal Anderson) after upsetting the Vikings 30-27 in overtime in the NFC Championship game the year the Vikings were 15-1.

we should of stopped it. We are never prepared for the unexpected. How often have we been bitten by the surprise onside kick? and whatever...

Just need to stop those plays.

wrong. It is not debatable that dallas got their behinds handed to them and were totally outplayed. that's fact and it can not be changed. but it is a valid question whether or not a team that has already secured victory in a dominating fashion should go for another score on a play designed to deceive with little time left on the clock.

the vikings thought so. that's their prerogative.

do i like it? no, but dallas should have been able to stop it. i would have had zero issues if it was a run that we couldn't stop. but to do it in a deceiving manner was in poor taste IMO. still their right to do it...i just wouldn't have done it. it's fine as long as they don't b!tch and whine if it happens to them, whether by us or someone else...

Honestly I just think thats Brooking hes a very emotional guy and it really hurt him to lose like that and, now he's not the type thats going come back and say he was wrong. I think these games mean more to them than us and that alot LOL. I don't think he was right by what he did but I take him any day over a felon or locker room cancer.

I agree, but remember Childress came from Philly and they are the most classless team in the league. Also, I think Childress was "Paying us back" for playing that Sha-na-na song at the end of the game and rubbing it in the Eagles face...

They played this in the Dome yesterday too, but hardly anyone was singing it. Either they couldn't get in sync so it sounded right or the fans just didn't want to sing it. Like it or not, the fans were nice considering the butt whooping we got.

I didn't read all 14 pages so if I repeat something -- I didn't meant to.

I like Brooking for his passion -- I disagree with him going over to the sidelines and calling the other team classless.

A team has the choice to keep their starters IN when they have the game won, they also take the risk of those players getting hurt. Look at the Patriots. Welker did not NEED to play in that game he got hurt in as they had already clinched a playoff spot, but he did and we will never know if Welker being hurt caused them to lose.

What do you think would have happened had Favre got hurt on that play since he was being rushed? Vikings players and coaches would be whining and saying the game had already been won -- there was no need for our defense to be playing that hard with the score being 27-3 with less than 2 minutes to go.

We played crappy and Brooking let his emotions get the best of him. Understandable, but save it for the next game. Bummer the offseason is so very long!

There's now a video on Youtube of Brooking on the prior 3rd down play pinning Bernard Berrian down for 6 seconds after the incompletion and elbowing him repeatedly in the neck. HAHA...

I say cut him.

Trust me if I was Brooking I would have done more than pin someone down and elbow them...... I say keep the guy, he's a great great player :)

Unfortunately, players like Brooking are everywhere in the NFL today. Their continuing mantra is:

"We suck so bad, that we can't stop you from scoring. Do us a favor and stop yourselves. Mommy has juice and cupcakes under the goalposts after the game."

Everybody here in Dallas was thrilled when Jimmy Johnson became the coach. He brought the attitude that we will play hard and try to score until the clock reads 00:00. Then for good measure, we will remind you of the score while we are making nice after the game.

While the Cowboys were doing this, we all loved it. It wasn't the way Tom Landry would have coached, but the players and times have changed. Now that it has happened to us (a few times), we turn on our heels and proclaim that it is bad.

With a record like that, we should run for political office. Say one thing one day, change the story another day, and argue that both stories were correct. Perfect.

The fact remains that the Cowboys laid a turd on Sunday, and a lot of them will be rewarded for it with contract extensions and raises in an uncapped season. The rewards have started already. Wade is back for another glorious season.

By the way, I am resisting the urge to send Brooking a truckful of Kleenex to his offseason home, there waiting for him when he arrives.

It is interesting to hear the difference of opinon on this compared to when the Pats were doing the same thing in '07

First of all :welcome:

Second, regarding the comment in bold. Everyone? I seem to remember quite a bit of backlash and 1-15 in 1989 didn't quiet the din.

Everyone? Yeah, once 1992 rolled around.

Well you have to take the L like a man.

True but it is a game with emotions and Brooking felt the Vikes crossed the line. To an extent I agree with Brooking there was no need to rub our nose it in. Wade had a chance the week before to rub Philly nose in it we choose to take the high road.

Shut up, Brooking(s)!

What is classless is a whiney baby crying that his defense could not stop even garbage time offense.
Classless is also exhorting your teammates to bloody their opponents and to kick them.

Just sthefup and work on your defensive skills because obviously you lost them Sunday.

Actually, why don't you deliver them in person so you can tell him this to his face?

Just be sure you Youtube it.
