He and Rob Ryan actually had a decent defense in Cleveland before they came to Dallas. Rob Ryan talked Henderson up like he was Vince Lombardi at the time....

Are you sure that wasn't Matt Eberflus?

they could bring a young Tom Landry here to coach the DB's and the Woodson's in their prime and they would still be horrible. No interceptions, 20 yard cushions, bad tackling, etc. This team has not had a good defensive back field in a very long time, and spans many coaches. I am not sure what it is, but no matter how many resources they throw back there, the results are the same. I hope they don't use prime picks on DB's this year, they will only ruin the players. Middle round draft picks and low budget FA's can play just as bad as our DB's only much cheaper.

Claiborne and Carr were initially acquired to presumably play primarily press-man coached by Henderson in Rob Ryan's "scheme". They fired Ryan but didn't want to lose Henderson, so now you have the mismatch in schemes/talents/expertise all over the place.

That is all true. Makes you wonder how they really thought there wouldn't be a problem.

If we want to talk about the lack of interceptions im all with you... But we finished top 5 in passing defense.. with these dbs that everyone hates.. but no one wants to give the dbs coach ANY credit for it.. who gets the credit in this situation here.. the coach(that everyone hates) or the dbs(that everyone hates)

just typical from dallas fans

Oddly similar to the Todd Bowles situation a while back. Not saying he is going to become Todd Bowles, but people wanted him to leave and he ran one of the best defenses in football.

Most everyone leaves Dallas and suddenly becomes able to coach football, sometimes really well. Its not hard to tell what part of the equation hasn't changed in the last 20 years.

or Mike Zimmer. It's never the players fault here, its always the coaches. Yet, Bowles, Payton, Zimmer, and the like have success elsewhere. wonder why that is?

Are the Browns that hard up for Rooney Rule token candidates?

They have Aaron Glenn, Wilbert Montgomery, Joker Phillips and Anthony Weaver on the current, yet to be fired with Pettine, that could suffice the rule.

If they are really serious about Henderson, just wow.

Good. Bye, Jerome. Maybe you can play 15 yards off of the sideline when you coach.

I think this just a Rooney rules move. I seriously doubt they hire Henderson.

Jerome should take his buddy Eberflus with him to the Browns. Isnt that where they came from??

Those are Rob Ryans boys.

So....question...since Ryan was fired from HERE, got another DC job and was since fired from THAT one too, can we now get rid of these two guys Jerry?

Oh right...you don't eat assistants contracts. Force coordinators to keep holdover help. Square pegs.

No idea how that doesn't work out well.
