I think Kosier's replacment, if that's the case, is already on our current roster.

Bentley hasn't played in two full years, Dallas doesn't need another rehab project.

Just like with Columbo, I would be fine with rolling the dice on this guy. We don't need him to start in 2008, but his depth over Proctor or Berger could be a benefit. In a year or so perhaps he is back to being our best option at LG.

Worth the risk.

Definitely. But I think he wants to try and compete for a starting job at Center and if some team offers him that shot I think he takes it.

But Dallas should def keep an eye on him.

What's it going to be then, eh?

He's going to want to go somewhere where he thinks he can start--and get paid like a starter. I bet he can find some place. Hell, the Skins could use him badly to shore up their geriatric ward... i mean, offensive line.

I doubt he's going to get what he thinks he is. And it sounds like he still thinks he's going to get paid. Passed physical or not, I would still consider him damaged goods. He hasn't even played a down in over two years.

Unless someone is just terrible, with his injury history and layoff, he'd be "insurance" no matter who picks him up.

Geez, that is almost as bad as Walter Reed.

I would think the players should be asking to get their surgery somewhere else then.

Amen!

Bentley gets the chance to prove himself and Dallas gets interior line depth?

A no-brainer if you ask me.

But he'll probably be looking to get paid rather than looking at the chance for a ring.

I think he will get a Hamlin type deal . 1 Yr contract from someone to prove himself and then he will have the opportunity to sign a long term deal if he comes back.

Seems like Jerry would be just what the Dr. ordered for him.

Covert to WR and compete with Matt Jones for the final slot on Cowboy roster. ;)

That was a cheap shot!

He's dreaming if he thinks anyone is going to hand him a starting job at this point. His best option is to wait until someone suffers and injury.

He's insurance until he proves he's back. His play at New Orleans was too long ago to hang hit helmet on.

I like the kid and wanted us to sign him when he was a FA. I still would, but he's insurance until he earns a starting job. If he could come in and take a G or C job away from our guys I'd be all for it. I always want the best guy on the field as much as possible. But he won't get anything handed to him.

I'd be all for him challenging Kendall for the starting guard spot on the Skins line. Or at the very least taking Jason Fabini's roster spot.

Can we mark Fabini's forehead with "Return to Sender" and ship him back to you? :D

I'm disturbed that you don't appreciate our gift of him to you. I have a great picture of him that you might enjoy.

Sure, send him back....who do you want in return, Leonard Davis? How about Gurode? I have a better idea, we send you Roy Williams and you can keep Fabibni.

That would give the Skins some outstanding depth on the O-line with Heyer, Bentley and the rookie Rinehart (assuming he doesn't honk)

Outstanding depth? The starters are all 1 foot in the grave. Your depth includes worthless Parcells cast-off Fabini and 2-time bust Todd Wade. Then you have a rookie who is nothing more than a question mark. And then you have Heyer who looked good for a UDFA... but certainly struggled when starting. Heyer may turn out to be a decent starter, in which case he would be better than your current starting RT who should retire and be the AARP's national spokeman on osteoporosis screening.

The only thing that the Commanders O-line is outstanding at is bingo.

Well unless he has priors, failed drug tests, or at least a weapons charge he has no chance here.....
