Yeah, I don't like Paxton. The interview I saw of him makes me think he is as dumb as dirt.
Ouch!

Would love to see them waste picks and him be terrible for them.
Would hate to see him play well and running all around the field while our defensive players miss him time and again only for him to finally throw a bomb down the field...ala like McNabb used to do when he was young.
Yep, and right around the time that Wentz may be turning into a franchise QB, Jerry will be handing the keys to the franchise to a 3rd round QB from this years draft.
Maybe...or maybe another undrafted gem like romo, or maybe an again old vet on his last legs like Bledsoe or Vinny....or maybe they draft a QB in the first round the next year or so.
Never know.
Or maybe, since we don't know...we get lucky and get Wentz or Lynch, like I would like this year, and they turn out to be a bust like mirer and leaf turned out to be.
Just never know.
Where's the Hate button?

Pretty well for a while as I recall, they kicked our butts pretty good!
But yeah, one quarterback bust = they all stink, for some people.
Unlike actual decision-makers, armchair GM's suffer no loss when they're wrong, so they can make whatever ridiculous claims they want. All they have to do is hide for a while and then pretend it never happened.
And the one guy he gaggled over is out of football after two years. Just goes to show that he is long on glitz and spice and short on football brains. And this is the guy that is supposed to be our GM? Scary stuff.
The Eagles can sit the QB for two years behind Bradford and Daniels. Groom the guy and then attempt to continue to stay relevant in the NFC East.
*I would assume that you don't trade up like this for another position but QB
If they are there and they don't take them...you will not be happy no matter who they take.
Seems like closed minded to me. Not sure what else it would be.
Maybe set in stone, resolute, uncompromising...different words I guess if you prefer those.
If the team drafts Hackenberg at #4...I would be pissed. If the team would draft Henry at #4 I would be pissed. If the team signed a multitude of other players at #4 that are not rated that high I would be pissed. If the team would take Bosa over Wentz I would hate it but I have to also realize that DE is a need and Bosa is rated at the spot. We have complained for years to build this team from the inside out so when we have the chance, even if I hate it, I can't complain much about it. We need secondary help...if they take what many consider the 1st or 2nd best player in this draft...I might not like it...but I can understand it. Now with the Eatman Ramsey report it seems even more of a risk. If the team takes Zeke...I would be happy. Between Wentz and Zeke they are the players I want with the 4th pick. Does not mean i have to be so set in stone that I think any other picks are wrong and only the two I like are correct.
Just because someone does not agree with you it does not make them a lemming or sheep for the team. We should have taken S.Floyd in the one draft because we had him rated that high, we got lucky that Fredbeard paid off. We should have taken S.Jackson in the one draft and we regretted it with J.Jones. We should have put more draft first round resources in the Oline way before they finally did. Jerry needs to retire the GM spot even though he never will. So just because someone does not agree whole hearted with your ideas, it does not make one a lemming, as sheep or defender of all things cowboys.
He talked about possilby retiring prior to resigning and as someone once said if you talked about retiring, you are thinking about it. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...p-rivers-considered-retirement-last-offseason
Or maybe you missed that. And the Chargers Should be taking a QB soon to groom for the future since Phillips is older, has publicly contemplated retirement. Just as the Cowboys should consider drafting a QB to groom to replace Romo even if it means drafting on in the first round at 4 if available...OR...drafting one later in this year draft...or drafting one next year.
Again just because I don't agree with you whole heartedly it does not mean I am a sheep, lemming, defending the team no matter what and NOW not using my brain and letting others tell me what to do.
Who is this mysterious person telling me what I think I should think instead of myself? I would like to meet this mysterious person that has control over my mind.
No you did not and I am far from Hostile.
I laugh at that idea. Find me the last time in history that a team drafted a QB with the #2 overall and sat him for two years.
Wentz will be starting before the season is over because the Eagles aren't going anywhere this year.
The Eagles OL is questionable and their LT will be 35 and has started incurring injuries each year. Chip Kelly dumped all of their impact WRs. The new crew traded a starting LB and CB in order to move up to #8 in the draft. The Eagles dumped Murray, dumped Maxwell, dumped Kiko, let Trent Cole walk, let Jeremy Mackey walk, and let DeShaun Jackson go.
Their team is in shambles and bereft of any impact star players except for Fletcher Cox. So now they will have a considerable amount of money tied up in QB's with a "franchise" QB, but only one second round pick in the next two drafts to find impact players to put around him....and there's still a good chance he turns out NOT to be all that....I'm not worried at all.
I will think that they have made a mistake. I'll hope for the best, but fear the worst. I'm not considering mine the end-all, be-all, absolutely right opinion. I'm just a fan like anyone else.
And I'm not as 'set in stone' as you seem to believe either. I have my own preference and I will fear the worst for the future if they passed on one of the quarterbacks when they had the chance. I've given the reasons why before.
No, it's when they go lock-step with everything the team does or may do that it does. I have an opinion, I've expressed it. I've supported and defended it. I have a preference and a move I think is the wisest, nothing more, nothing less.
I understand the art of negotiation. Rivers had leverage, he played it, he got paid.
When you're already prepping yourself to accept pretty much any decision the team will make, it sure looks that way.
I guess you must have missed it.
Meh....all of our arguing with each other in a peeing contest means nothing now.
Eagles just traded up to take Wentz (guy I wanted) and the Rams are taking Goff (the guy I think you wanted).
Oh well...it was fun while it lasted.
Funny... You view every move up as a validation of the quality of qb available... Until that is inconvenient.
Joke.
