Arians can talk now because his team is winning. We'll see what that blowhard has to say once his team gets booted out of the first round again.

They made it to the playoffs with their back up QB and 3rd stringer going 4-4 and lost in the playoffs with the 3rd stringer. I don't think they'll be quite the pushover these playoffs with Palmer healthy. Although they're down to their 3rd string rookie RB right now with Johnson and Ellington out, I don't think that'll stop them. :D

Chris Harper didn't get cut because the Pats wanted to send a message. He was brought up from the practice squad because of injuries etc. and after the game he was released and signed back to the practice squad again. It's obvious that he's not ready and had no business stepping on the field. Corey White however was simply cut as a punishment for not wearing a suit. Silly.

And then you HOPE to be able to re-sign a guy like Hardy who is missing meetings, fighting coaches almost, lying and whatever. Give me a break.

I'll support whatever player they throw out there. There's no wiggle room here. I don't like alot of NFL guys but I love the team.

People just took and ran with that explanation for White getting cut, but the reality is, we don't know why he was released. Not wearing a suit historically has cost you playing time under Garrett. There was obviously something else going on.

Not that making an example of a guy who won't follow instructions is a bad thing. The only thing silly about it is fans defending it.

I agree. If that's a team rule that's an EASY one to follow. Many people have to dress up for work. It's common.

True but for one infraction to cost your job, that is EXTREMELY harsh. Now if it is an established rule, fine, you just would have to adhere to it. But it's still harsh to get fired over one dress code infraction. There has to be more to what lead to his release.

There is. People are taking an unsubstantiated story as a partial explanation and running with it again.

Probably. I don't even know who he is but the suit thing on his part is dumb.

Cowboys fans are very gullible creatures.

I read it somewhere must be true.

Especially if it's anti cowboy type stuff.

Bruce Arians is a Cowboy's fan?

This thread is about him making fun of the Cowboys, is it not? Not sure how this thread turned into bashing Cowboy fans when Arians made the comment.

Cutting a player for not wearing a suit is border line idiotic. This coaching staff and apparent culture and philosophy we have in Dallas is weird. This season has be draining to say the least smh.

Should we evaulate the other teams that had to go with backups?? ANd their win-loss percentage?

We needed to stay in the playoff hunt, meaning one or two wins. Talking about percentage is absurd and a straw man.

How so? You said it yourself. all we needed was one or two wins from the backups. Couldnt do it. While others have won with their backups.

How is that a straw man? or "absurd" ? Explain.

I assume you are saying we have not had our starting QB as being "self evident". And I assume you are saying that is a legitimate excuse to go 0-7 without your starting QB. But when I see Indy win games without Luck...the Broncos win games with Manning...the Ravens win games without Flacco....the 49ers win games without Kappernick. Or I recall Mike Vick getting hurt...and Nick Foles coming in and winning games....or Bradford getting hurt...and Sanchez winning a game...or Geno Smith getting hurt...and Fitzpatrick winning a game...or Roethlisberger getting hurt...and whomever won games. I am not at all suggesting that ANY of these backup QBs are any good...all I am saying is that teams don't go 0-7 without there starting QB unless there is a MUCH bigger issue. And the fact that we could not win ONE game with our backup....or our backup to our backup....is reason to believe the problems in Dallas are much deeper. In fact...for some of us....we always knew that Romo saved this teams bacon. And to be honest with you...now that this entire organization KNOWS Romo is gone for the year...I think we will finally win a couple of games. And if that happens...it will confirm what I have felt all along. This entire organization was waiting for Romo to return to save the day...and that is how we coached, game planned and played...and that is the BIGGEST reason for 0-7!

Well get ready to see us now go undefeated now with them.

Bruce Arians made a joke about a 3-8 franchise that he looks to have grabbed player #50 on his roster from when they cut him, which the player says is not wearing a suit. My guess is if the suit had any impact on him getting cut, it was the straw that broke the camels back more then anything else. They cut a player who was consistently inactive on gameday. Seems like someone likely cut because he wasn't showing in practice more then anything else. Or hell it might be the type of player that you cut for not following team rules that other players could get away with.

Talent lets you get away with more crap then players with less talent. That's just the way it is. CMike has never shown his talent. Corey White seems like a decent back of the roster guy.

Was White even active today?

I don't recall seeing him out there, but he's stuck behind Patrick Peterson.

They have him listed as #2 LCB on the depth chart on azcardinals.com, and he wasn't on the inactive list, sorry.

I thought you were taking the position that other teams have struggled with back-ups based on their winning percentage, this that justifies us having a low winning percentage with Weeden and Cassell..

I think some of you miss the point, but I assure you that the rest of the Dallas Cowboys did not. They get paid to do a job, and paid well. When I go to work, I'm expected to dress a certain way, and maintain a professional appearance, and behave professional. That's the message I think Garrett is sending. This is your job. You're professionals, and I expect and hold you to a high standard. Get on the plane like you're paid 6 or 7 figures a year, and do your bleeping job. If you can't do that, someone else will gladly take your seat, your money, and job.
