Here is what I think if we don't go QB at 4 we gotta go with Zeke and the reason is simple, forget money when we let Murray go this team lost its identity. This team needs a tough bellcow back that can get decent yards and the tougher 1 yard runs too, our identity with Murray was run the ball down your throat and then carve you up in the passing game. McFadden did OK last year but our "tough" yardage just wasn't there. Zeke can give this team back their identity and he can do what McFadden DIDNT do last year...close the game out in the 4th.
The notion that McFadden wasn't good in short yardage and tough yardage situations compared to Murray has been proven to be not accurate. Someone on the FanZone did an analysis and basically McFadden and Murray were pretty close in those type of situations............... and note that Murray had the benefit of Romo and Bryant being healthy.
And it's easy to say forget money when you are a fan. But the front office is very aware of money, their cap, the values they put on positions given injury risk, etc.
And based on what they said last year when Murray wasn't signed and how they have approached free agency for RBs, they simply do not want to tie a lot of money up at TB.
