qb was reaching down for bag and had disc problem, put him on ir, maybe get a game check or 2, settle him
what i saw with asoua, in coverage, liked neal # 66, de, get young guys, woody baron another guy,
then he lined up against tyron
collins had good game chasing things till hip flexor
lenny jones had a couple of nice rushes
on taco, battled dan skipper is one of those guys when unpiling skipper is still blocking
lael collins throat slammed taco
veterans like domontroe know u cant let the OL our super players get their hands on you, so these young players have to learn pass rush moves
tapper has to learn pass rush moves, techniques,
ol are only good when they know how to hold trip and clip but its going to take tapper some time to learn moves, got to get that hand up, foot in ground, when tapper was in college he wasnt taught
jaylon had his moments, but there is going to be some learning there, to make plays its alittle off but he hasnt played in 572 days, but when awareness comes, then they cant wash him in the play
with taco i dont think he can give u anything in pass rush but he can in against the run
but longterm jaylon can help this team, right now i would take jaylon in 4th round, but if he was healthy from notre dame, u have to take him with the 4th pick in 1st round
hillman, san diego did terrible blocking for him, has lateral quickness, change of pace guy, play lateral, got vision to come to back side, got a guy that is scheme fit for what they do, but 50/50 in catch but sometimes rivers threw the ball over his head, this is about they dont have the numbers to practice, guy veteran that can run the football
yeah dont disagree with u, marcus smith cant do anything to help this team, guy phily let go,
andy jones ur hoping their going only to keep 5 wrs, maybe their going to keep more defensive players, and happen to rb situation

dont think no news on zeke till after hall of fame game

This is why I struggle to fully get on board with Broaddus.

He said if Smith was healthy, you would have to take him 4th overall. But back during that draft, he was pretty down on Smith, if I recall, saying that even if healthy he wasn't sure he was one of the Top 5 players in the draft. Seems like he's just covering his butt now in case Smith does come back and is back to normal.

He's not covering anything, what he said is dead on, Smith is a top five talent if he was healthy coming into the draft, he wasn't healthy, in fact he had a very very serious injury and there is no guarantee Smith can play at a high level going forward, there is many unknowns with that type of injury......With that kind of a serious injury, Brian wouldn't have taken him in the top of the second round because DALLAS NEEDED GUYS THAT CAN PLAY NOW, not a guy that may or may not help you in one or two years if at all....I don't know why you can't follow that!

Myles Jack was his guy all the way and he was deeply hurt when Dallas passed on him. Still struggling to get over it.

Did you read my post?

Last year when they picked him, Broaddus was claiming that EVEN IF HEALTHY, he wasn't sure Smith was a Top 5 talent. Now, today, he's saying if he was healthy, he probably was a top 5 talent. He's contradicting himself/

And as stash pointed out, he was more bullish on Jack too.

Ancient history. Jaylon Smith is now a sunk cost. Time to move on.

People want to know how Smith is doing today, without the bias of what happened last year during the draft.

If Brian can't do that, he should find another profession.

No, because his scouting report says he's projected as a run-oriented DE in a 3-4, and so far, he's beaten nobody. Not even undrafted free agent Dan Skipper.

He's got a great NFL body, but he's slow and easy to control.

I want to give Taco the benefit of the doubt. But I questioned the pick from Day 1. Atlanta really screwed us by jumping us for Takk, who would have been a perfect fit as a RDE. Taco just lacks the quick twitch to be a pass rusher IMO. And yes, there are many ways to get to the QB, but we really need/needed someone who could get off quick and bend the edge. And Taco is not that. I think Taco will be a solid LDE, like Broaddus says. I hope that Damontre Moore or Tapper can be that guy at RDE, or that D Law rediscovers his form in a contract year.

Broadus top three linebackers on his board...Jaylon > Jack > Floyd.....he was bullish on Jack because he could play NOW...

I am going to go out on a limb and state Taco will be fine. In fact, I think he will a good DE and a solid rotation guy his rookie year. He has good measurables, showed continual improvement at Michigan and played against top echelon competition. He is not a "project" - you don't see reports of poor technique or bad attitude or lack of effort. Was he my first choice to draft for Dallas? No, but I don't believe he is a bad choice at all.

Man, I hope he doesn't make me look foolish.

I wouldn't say Myles was his guy ride or die, but he definitely felt strongly about passing on an LB he thought could play at a high level right away to take a guy, he thought, might never play football again.

D Law will rediscover it, probably when he's in his next contract year......
