BSPN: Herm Edwards just said...

For me, Herm Edwards is almost unwatchable.

I feel like I'm watching an SNL skit. He's comes across as a crazy person.

It's really not. If Brady, P. Manning, or Brees plays bad do those teams win? The NFL has always been about the QB. How that one guy plays determines how everything else develops.

You can cover up lack of running game, bad Oline (see GB), and depth if your QB is playing good.

I will respectully disagree. I think we have so many dynamics within our running game that we have yet to tap into. We hqve seen flashes with Choice running a little razorback and multiple tailbacks lined up in the backfield. the right mind could do plenty with our three headed stable of rbs. Whether you run to setup the pass or pass to setup the run, there should be a consistently strong emphasis on the run with what we have back there to work with... (& i don't mean dose after dose of the delayed draw play...ugh)

What happened to the NYG when they severed one of the heads from that three headed monster they had last year? Bradshaw is a MASH report and Jacobs is not a three down back. Do you think that they might miss Derrick Ward just a tad? We should use it before we find ourselves with just two (and potentially the wrong two).

Try living in KC territory. When he was the HC of the Chiefs, he was on all the time. You had to watch the local sports segment with the remote handy because you never knew when they would break into some Chief news.

The running game has changed. You run to set up the pass, control the clock, and make 3rd down manageable whatever that is for your team. You score points via the pass (generally speaking) in this league. As your QB goes so does your team.

That's not saying you don't need all the pieces to get to the big game. But you're not going anywhere without a QB unless you have a very unusual defense and that's every other decade or two.

It would be nice if that were the case. I think Garrett is just more comfortable passing versus scheming some good runs to keep the defense off balance.

This quote should tell you why Herm Edwards is not a coach anymore.

The Dallas Cowboys have found their identity and that's running the ball. It was also noted that we have a tremendous three headed monster at RB.

:clap2:

Herm and I would get along very well.

Choice for president.

As in life itself, we must have balance. :)

It's "bspn" yet you quote some has been coach from the same network. I nominate this for "nonrelevant" thread of the year: and it's the END of the year: congrats.

I nominate you for non relevant thread contributor of the year.

For those of you that choose to be *******es and not see the message, take the has been coach and BSPN out of the equation for a moment. Now concentrate on the message. Hammer1 had no problem doing it.

Lame..

It's true for everyone. But I also think there's some truth in what you say.

My problem with Garrett is he doesn't run quite often enough and esp the power and then esp on the goal line. He also uses the gun too much.
