After securing an edge rusher in the first round, who will the Cowboys pick in the second round.

Now that the Cowboys have gone ahead and grabbed a defensive end, Taco Charlton, with their first pick in the 2017 draft, attention turns to the second round. If you surveyed Cowboys fans, you would probably find that 99% of them want Dallas to draft a secondary player in the second round. Fortunately, some intrepid sites have already created second-round mocks for us to look at, so look at them we will.

Some guys everyone would probably want, like CB Kevin King, will likely be long gone before the Cowboys pick at #60. But below are some realistic options.

Our friends over at Bleeding Green Nation:

60. Dallas Cowboys- Cordrea Tankersley, Cornerback, Clemson: Dallas needs to improve their secondary and Tankersley would be an immediate impact man coverage corner.

This one makes a lot of sense. The Cowboys have reportedly shown a lot of interest in the Clemson product.

NFL.com:

60 Rasul Douglas - CB

School: West Virginia. Long and productive. His speed is average but he fits Rod Marinelli's defense.

A darkhorse that hasn’t been discussed much in Cowboys circles.

Some random newspaper:

60. Dallas Cowboys: Marcus Williams, safety, Utah

The Cowboys need to address the position after losing two safeties in free agency.

A change up to safety, which is legit. There might be better value at this point of the draft if a CB run happens early in the round.

NJ.com:

60. DALLAS COWBOYS

AHKELLO WITHERSPOON, CB, COLORADO: The Cowboys go for the tall (6-2), athletic cover from Colorado to fix a depleted secondary.

Not much to argue with on this pick.

MMQB:

No. 60 Dallas Cowboys: Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida The Cowboys need to re-stock depth in their secondary after a free-agency exodus. Wilson is a good start.

This would be fantastic, he was actually mentioned many times as a first-round possibility for Dallas. To get him this late would be good value, but unlikely to happen.

CBS Sports:

60. Dallas Cowboys

Cordrea Tankersley, CB, Clemson: The Cowboys need secondary help and Tankersley was a top-30 visit in Dallas, making this marriage a possibility.

And we’re all the way back around to Tankersley, who I think has a good shot at being the second-round selection.

Who do you like for the Cowboys second-round pick?
