The only thing that Jerry anticipated this season.... was to make a nice profit from all Cowboys related revenue streams.

Jerry let the 09 fallapart happen. The OL was aging badly and completely fell apart down the stretch. It was blatantly obvious. Soooo, Jerry fixed it by trading up for Dez and drafting Sam Young in the 6th.

Every fan knew we needed a RB, some talent at #2 WR, and more DL help.
Every fan also knew there would be growing pains with two rookie OLmen starting at spots they didn’t play in college.

Not having threats at RB and WR outside of Lamb just made the OL’s job even harder.

On the other hand, no fan anticipated this many injuries at DL resulting in no pass rush or at CB.

Dont forget the lame duck HC and the one yr hire geriatric DC. Oh, and Dak.

It’s really not. The title suggests he had no idea the season would be challenging at all - that he assumed no obstacles. That’s very different than saying the challenges have gone beyond what he would have imagined.

But that’s what the media does. They suck readers in with misleading headlines. It happens all the time

Some of what is going on would actually make a little sense if there was a substantial trade/trades at the deadline, a liquidation of players and contracts for draft capital, but we know that's not happening.
