He played in all 17 games the previous two seasons, and then for four seasons before 2021, he played in all 16 games. How do you define missing time?

He is one of those guys who plays through injury, though, but I don't see a lot of "poorly" in his game. He gets pressure but definitely isn't a big sack producer, which maybe is what you mean by playing poorly. Seems more like his two years out of 11 with 10-plus sacks was the aberration.
IDK, how do you define playing poorly? DLaw came back from injury and wasn't effective for a large chunk of time. So, going solely by time missed makes the player evaluation inaccurate.

DLaw is a beast when healthy.

Well its reasonable to assume coming off 3 straight 12 win seasons your team should still be in the mix for a playoff spot. However, when all other teams are investing in improving their team in the offseason and you're status quo with no definitive upgrades is it really that surprising other teams can catchup?

It's like sitting on a pile of cash 20 years ago, doing nothing with it and assuming you could still do the same stuff you did 20 years ago.
Why? I mean, did you really not notice us dumping players in the offseason? You'd have to be blind to see it that way.

You don’t know how to evaluate a roster?

You let Dan Quinn take Armstrong and Fowler no they’re not all pros but they are elite rotational pieces and when rotated properly have an impact on the game

You didn’t address the RB situation worth a you know what….Henry was there….you went and got Elliott who for the past three seasons has looked like football is done with him

You didn’t really address lb outside of Kendrick’s but you could’ve done better

You were absolutely dreadful this offseason
They could have signed Aaron Jones too, the guy has been a thorn in our side every time we have faced him. The front office gets a big F for this off season

DLaw: Has been susceptible to injury his entire career
Kneeland: Rookie. Can't count on players until their 2nd/3rd year
Williams: True, but he is still just a backup rotational type at this point.
Parsons: Yup, you got me on this one. Even though I will tell you that guys his size playing 4-3 DE often get hurt, it was still unpredictable.

However, we were unable to stop the run w/ all these guys(except Kneeland) playing, so the problem was already there w/ or w/o these guys.
Yet DLaw will get another contract to stay on the team for next year, LET HIM GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's shameful how they handled the 2024 offseason. Shameful and incompetent.

The difference I see is that the usual finger pointing, scapegoating, unnecessary carnival barking, media spinning and salesmanship is not working on the fan base and media. For the 1st time in recent memory Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones are being exposed as THE problem in Dallas. That is what Jerry truly didn't anticipate.

I wonder why other teams don't have 80 year old GM's.
There are possibly some still capable of being what's needed to operate effectively. Jerry just doesn't happen to be one of them. I suspect that his whiskey habit and age has caught up with him. In fact, he has appeared to have been lacking for quite some time. Football smarts aren't his strong suit.

I can't believe that you Dallas Cowboy fans make fun of Jerry freaking Jones! Are you stupid, or just dumb?

Jerry played football and is in the HOF by luck and chance.

You might not know what he is thinking, and neither do I! So leave him to be...alone on his big bad boat.

While his team sinks.

That's a lie. Jerry spent all off season doing nothing so he could pretend to be surprised by a "challenging season."

Right. Not only that, but most people stop working entirely well before that age, even in positions that aren’t nearly as difficult or competitive.

The answer for me goes both ways on this one….Jerry isn’t actually the GM. The kid is there to reel him in, and I’d suspect McClay and his staff does the brunt of the actual work. Too many cooks in the kitchen. Need one persons vision and sink or swim with it.

The whole…’you get your way this time, I’ll get my way next time’ deal won’t add up…but Jerry needs to keep the title so he can potentially claim it was all him…if they win.

Probably very moot, but Jerry thinks so much of himself and his offspring that his claim that he is surprised at the results of this year is probably genuine.
