We've heard this same thing many times since the Ravens closed out Texas Stadium with a win against us. It is a staple of the Garrett offense.

Micah bailed out this bad defense twice. They let them get into fg position every drive before dak even threw a pick. The offense left them in a short field position only 1 time. Whole defense was bad except Micah
Only 19 points scored by the Bucs.

The Bucs only had 1 game last season with less than 19 points.

The Cowboys averaged 31 points per game on offense last season.

The defense was good enough to win this game. Fans focus on how it looks but the bottom line is points allowed and the defense did their job in that area.

It does not matter if it was all Micah or whatever. The defense was good enough.

Everybody knows our game plan, except for us
:lmao2:

1st down: Zeke for 3 yards into the wall
2nd down: Dak staring down the field like a deer into headlights - screen pass for a 4 yard loss
3rd down: trick play to the left side in slow motion for a 7 yard loss
4th down: Maher FGA for 75 yards - hits fan near center field in the face, lawsuit

Anyone remember when Tony was playing and talked about not changing a play based on defensive alignment? He talked about sometimes you have to run into a stacked box to keep the defense honest. This was after that offseason in which he said things clicked and he started really playing at a high level.

The, "predictable," nature of the offense is based on pre-snap reads. The same stuff announcers use to predict plays. For example, last night Collinsworth predicted Brady changed a play because he saw man coverage pre-snap. He knew he was going to throw and he did, successfully.

I think this falls on the OC and the QB. If a defense can give you a pre-snap look and they know what you're going to run off that, then you have to start subverting their expectations to keep them honest. Not every defense is that savvy, but the good ones usually are. This is not a new problem. Going back to that Micah Hyde INT in the playoffs in 2016, or Buddha Baker nearly picking off a screen last year, the better defenses know how to take advantage of the robotic nature of the pre-snap reads.

The double and triple and fake reverses were cute. And the wide receiver screen attempt, or whatever the hell that was when they collided, was really cool.

**** **** ****!!! We are poorly run on nearly every level.

Funny KM didn’t play a down, didn’t play one quarter of football but neither did qb 4 so the talent sucked a lot more. The total incompetence on the offense falls on the HC for the lack of preparation and lack of focus. It’s pretty obvious at this point the HC sucks.
Coordinators are hired and paid to coach.....it's doesn't take a genius to understand that..especially, when Jerry makes him his pet cat.

Offenses are generally more conservative when they only have to score more than 3 points. If not for a missed FG, Tampa would have scored on all their first half possessions. They were running the ball at will. Granted, not getting any first downs on 3 straight possessions following their first drive didn't help the defense, but at the same time, when you don't have any real pressure to score you stay vanilla in order to not show your hand to upcoming opponents.

The commitment to the run game has been an issue for years. I cannot recall any time in the last few years where they ran the ball more than 2 consecutive plays.

Probably doesn't help that Zeke takes himself out after 2 or 3 running plays.

You cant say that because do you think the bucs play the same on offense if they are down instead of up by 2 scores

Jimmy and Norv Turner only had 6 basic plays if I recall. Also remember Belichick saying that, "Everyone in the league knew what was coming .. you just couldn't stop it." Talent and execution matter a whole lot more than scheme.

It got it done though. Trust me, there isn't a player on the team I'm not trashing. Schultz and Brown were ok though. Maher? Holy cow dude......
Anger gets **** done. Parsons was good, once he got off the right side.

No mention of the defense allowing 130 yards rushing that got them into scoring position all night?
How about holding the TB to field goals, multiple times down in the red zone and goal to go. They were on the field the majority of the night while the offense was 3 and out or throwing into triple coverage. At some point they’re gonna get gassed. They held the opponent to 1 TD!! And 19 points. The loss was not on them. If it wasn’t for them the game would have been over by halftime

every team knows your gameplan

thats why you adjust based on what you see....if the D gives you a cover two look audible to something that sends the te down the middle ect.

last night they didnt adjust....they just threw it where the coverage was all night

The Packers had injuries to the OL and no WRs but they still managed to score a TD, got the ball inside the 10, and had a wide open TD dropped. Obviously Dak is no Rodgers but an offense that still had a 1,000 yard WR (Lamb) and a decent TE playing could only score 3 points and barely get into Tampa territory.

Kellen and Dak failed!
