Do your homework for once and find out who it was who actually 'fired the first shot' here. Or again, see what you want to see, rather than what truly is.

You know, my mom (God rest her soul) used to tell me all the time...if you haven't got something positive to say just go
shut your mouth, hide your ignorance & find some other pursuit to be productive at. Of course, you have to
recognize your shortcomings.

I have not seen a better blue print for building a complete team since the Landry days. It's about time, it's all about the trenches, and it has certainly been addressed, a little work left on the defensive side, but this feels good. Facemask to facemask is finally right. Smash mouth equals championship, opens the receiver game, it's coming.

Jimmy had a dang good blueprint: Speed, youth, and size on o-line. It worked then and it could work now but it all depends on the franchise QB and a solid defense.

Here's my unintelligent view of the Cowboys.

The front office gets credit for recognizing one problem they had - the OL - and addressing it. Some may say they have invested too many resources in the OL at the expense of other needs, but I tend to think you can never invest too much into the OL (well to an extent, LOL).

However, I think they've struggled drafting and building the defense. They've had some big misses - Claiborne - and have taken on a few risks (Gregory) that haven't panned out and could potentially pan out (Smith). After being burned by high price free agents, they seem to have gone to the opposite extreme and just looked for bargain bin guys and the like to fill a defense full of holes. Sure, they've done some smart things recently. Signing Thornton and dumping Hayden was a great move. I loved the Tapper pick. I think putting Jones at FS is a smart move. But here we are, 2016 season upon us, and we still have a ton of questions on defense. The "reality" (or unintelligent and inability to see things point of view, I guess) is that this defense could very well be mediocre to poor next year and be the Achilles heel of this team.

So the best way to put it right now is that the team has done some great things in personnel moves, done some bad things in the personnel department and the end result is a team that could easily be 6-10 as much as it could be 11-5. That's where we are.

Wow! What an "unintelligent" post. How dare you criticize the Cowboys sir!

As opposed to the 'check your brain at the door', 'just hand over your money to Jerry' crowd. You must be so proud.

You're back to your "I will show Jerry the billionaire" by not buying a Dallas Cow girls outfit? Again, this powerful and brave stance has zero affect on anything in this world.

Funny you'd mention "shortcomings", when 9 times out of 10, you're the guy in the thread who doesn't know what he's talking about getting enlightened by someone who does. Ignorance truly is bliss.

When it's your forum, you run it however you'd like. You can go ahead and censor each and every view that doesn't line up with your own.

Just don't expect me to join up. Or anybody else.

Do want you want sheep, I'll do the same.

You let someone else handle the burden of thinking for you, I'll do it for myself.

Because I think the team is heading in the right direction I'm not thinking for myself?

Do you realize that sounds stupid?

No more stupid than your incessant desire to throw barbs at people that think the team still has some real issues and that greatness isn't on the immediate horizon until those issues appear to be addressed, if they ever get addressed.

Then we agree, it is stupid.

You always sound so miserable, dude. I don't really care to argue with you because there's no real point. I hope you treat
your wife (if you have one) with more respect cause this negative, find fault with everything wears real thin. Here's hoping
you have a nice day and joy in your life.

You know what really "sounds stupid"? When someone would rather jump into a topic and insult others for not joining in their own 'group think' rather than actually talking about the thread topic.

You are not going to be popular around here with a certain group. They call themselves The Realists. Please be careful. They are extremly sensitive and easily upset. They tend to lash out with attacks on your knowledge about football with repetitive sarcasm.

The good news is many of us agree that things are looking up. Even better, when we win you don't hear much from them. So this will be a good season in more ways than one.

That's what "stupid" looks like.

If that's the way you see my posts, that's on you. Because, unlike you, I can handle differing opinions from my own. I can have an intelligent conversation with differing viewpoints. And anyone with a brain and functioning set of eyes knows where this thread was derailed, and who started it.

If you want to lie to yourself about who took this thing in a negative direction, go right ahead. But you don't get to lie to me about it.

Yes we agree. You sound stupid when you throw barbs people, sometimes unprovoked, that have questions about the team.

And that's exactly how we started down this road. But people see what they want to see.

Well, to get back on topic...
Drafting has been better. Jason came in and showed the door to aging overpaid, out of shape players. Over 2 years, this depleted some areas on the team. Especially the OL.
So they went through the draft to rebuild it, the way it should be. And remember they may have wanted defense, but it didn't work out that way, so went OL while the BPA was there.

Yes, defense was neglected more than what we want as fans. But quite a few players were gone under Jason's 1st 2 years. So I figure it would take 2 to 3 years to rebuild that. Then we get hit with injuries in all those years so the plan is delayed.

Things don't happen the way everyone wants it to. And can be frustrating, and to some more than others. I try to look at most everything from the positive side, that we are building and improving. I go into every year thinking we will improve. Heck, even during the 1-15 season, I am thinking, well we can't get any worse. LOL.

But the defense does get neglected lately, and we do have issues, a lot of issues, but also I am willing to see if some of these players can surprise us. Not holding my breath. They truly need to address this next year.

Insult others? What did I say that wasn't factual? Possibly that you're very sensitive. Although, your reaction to my post could be viewed by a reasonable person as very sensitive behavior.
