Yes we agree. You sound stupid when you throw barbs people, sometimes unprovoked, that have questions about the team.
What barbs did I throw? I called realists sensitive? Sorry. Calm down I didn't mean it.

And there's the usual appearance, to attack anyone who doesn't think the same way, add absolutely nothing of value to the topic, and then cut and run.

If you had any of the "intelligence" you speak of, you'd know which side 'fired the first shot' here. It's par for the course. The homers are always the first to antagonize someone else for not thinking the way they do, and buying anything and everything this team feeds them, hook, line, and sinker.

No, I just don't like ignorant hateful fans.

Here's my unintelligent view of the Cowboys.

The front office gets credit for recognizing one problem they had - the OL - and addressing it. Some may say they have invested too many resources in the OL at the expense of other needs, but I tend to think you can never invest too much into the OL (well to an extent, LOL).

However, I think they've struggled drafting and building the defense. They've had some big misses - Claiborne - and have taken on a few risks (Gregory) that haven't panned out and could potentially pan out (Smith). After being burned by high price free agents, they seem to have gone to the opposite extreme and just looked for bargain bin guys and the like to fill a defense full of holes. Sure, they've done some smart things recently. Signing Thornton and dumping Hayden was a great move. I loved the Tapper pick. I think putting Jones at FS is a smart move. But here we are, 2016 season upon us, and we still have a ton of questions on defense. Arguably the biggest problem this defense had has been getting to the QB. And yet people are surprised fans might question that our pass rush has gotten significantly better (and it needs to be significantly better IMO to be a real threat in this conference) because we added a 4th round DE (who I like mind you), a cast off from the Raiders with like 2 career sacks, a guy from our practice squad, a few other bodies and are hoping our pot smoking 2nd rounder from last year will suddenly find himself after 4 games?

The "reality" (or unintelligent and inability to see things point of view, I guess) is that this defense could very well be mediocre to poor next year and be the Achilles heel of this team.

So the best way to put it right now is that the team has done some great things in personnel moves, done some bad things in the personnel department and the end result is a team that could easily be 6-10 as much as it could be 11-5. That's where we are. If that hurts people's sensibilities, then by all means, just assume I am stupid and don't understand football.

Really can't disagree with this on the FO and the moves.
But will say, at the time, Claiborne was considered one of the best players in that draft. I didn't like giving up a pick to trade up. So this is more of a hindsight thing with fans. So I guess it can go down as a mistake in hindsight. But many teams have these.

Also I disagree a bit about Mayowa. It does take most players 3 years, or sometimes just a change of teams before they take off and have a solid career. So I would like to see him in action before I say he is a 2 sack a year player. not that you said that, but you said 2 career sacks. But you don't seem to have a high opinion from that. So let's see him in action first.

Insult others? What did I say that wasn't factual? Possibly that you're very sensitive. Although, your reaction to my post could be viewed by a reasonable person as very sensitive behavior.

Everything you said was insulting. Maybe the problem is that you don't realize it? You took this thread in the direction it went. Away from the actual topic. You did that with your provoking comment. If that was your goal, congratulations, thread derailed, mission accomplished.

Don't post that trash and then talk about a "reasonable person". Only serves to make you look worse.

You are not going to be popular around here with a certain group. They call themselves The Realists. Please be careful. They are extremly sensitive and easily upset. They tend to lash out with attacks on your knowledge about football with repetitive sarcasm.

The good news is many of us agree that things are looking up. Even better, when we win you don't hear much from them. So this will be a good season in more ways than one.

Well put my man.

Was it factual and Insulting or just insulting?

In your opinion how does posting what you consider trash make me unreasonable?

No, I just don't like ignorant hateful fans.

You can't handle anyone that doesn't think or feel exactly the way you do. Your only contributions to this forum are attacking any fan that you don't personally feel is being 'positive enough', as if it's your right to decide. And then you proceed to badmouth Cowboyszone everywhere else you go, calling it a 'cesspool'. And yet, back you come to this "cesspool"?

The problem isn't with this forum at all, it's with small minds who can't handle it when others don't think the way that they do.

And the only person being "ignorant" here is you.

LOL, every thread ends up the same way. Figure you guys have said all there is to be said and be tired of having the same argument. I think we all know who stands where of those who subscribe to one of the dualistic views of this team.

Nothing "factual" about it. More opinion-based ramblings from another small mind that can't deal with people thinking differently than they do. Or being at all critical of their Cowboys.

It's not "reasonable" in any way to purposely insult other fans. Or to detail threads with your agenda.

Tell that to the guy who started it. The one apparently so lacking in self awareness that he actually liked your comment.

We are doing it better than Jimmy and his dynasty, apparently.

So stoked.

not better than jimmy, but better than anyone since.

dez, tyron smith, frederick, martin, even zeke and smith -- those are long-term investments.

one can knock the reliance on romo (seriously, who wants to stick with the qb with the third highest rating in history,
amirite?), but the quincy-henson-hutchinson carousel is over. johnny football isn't here, and that's a fantastic thing.

just because we haven't won it all doesn't nean that there aren't positives. of course there are negatives, too. but optimism alone is not equivalent to blind homerism.

I think at the end of the day, this is one of my big motivators. I dont want to be made a fool by believing in the salesman nonsense that Jerry spits out all the time. To listen to Jerry you would think this team is always one player away from winning it all. Every player is doing great.

Its almost like clockwork. Whenever Jerry rants about some ridiculously positive BS you always get the crowd coming on here and parroting what he says into a thread. I guess it works on some people.

Thing is I dont think Jerry feels hes selling as much as I think Jerry believes in his special sauce.

Are you now using the classic "he started it defense"?

Brilliant!

If the shoe fits pal. It's hilarious that the happy fans are the first to talk about how 'negative' any critics of this team are, when they're the first people to take a thread and turn it in that direction.

Just like you did here.

Your lack of self awareness is impressive.

I have not seen a better blue print for building a complete team since the Landry days.

Nobody believe his own bull**** more than Jerry Jones does.
I do not think he honestly believes all of what he is shoveling.

I think he does consistently himself into thinking things are better than they are and then everyone around him nods in approval with the boss.
