Even Jerry's son is getting antsy abouy keeping him.

If you believe the reports, he isnt even antsy, he wants hime gone. Despite the cap impact.

I think SJ is bright and see's the bigger picture better than JJ alot of times. And IMO if he is telling Jerry this, it must be really really bad.

I'm lost, but where did Stephen say that TO needed to be gone?

There was an article or report from somewhere, you go look it up.

Dude, nothing in your world about the Cowboys is wrong! We get it...you are SuperFan.

Settle down...No one said that.

You are off on a TO tangent today as if you are really gonna accomplish something. As I said, there's 9 million reasons TO isn't leaving and you can get on here and scream and yell all you want - but at the end of the day, it's just wasted bandwith. And you aren't gonna change anyone's mind who thinks we should keep him anymore than we are gonna change yours.

Could they release him? Sure. Will they? I doubt it. I guess one of us is right and one of us is wrong but all the message board postings in the world will affect that.

And your bandwith is?

Nice...

Was it from a "source" or was it from a real person?

as I recall several media outlets reported it...have no idea how they got the info though, but it was from PFT

C'mon, you really think someone is going to go on record with that statement if its true?

~thread interruption~

Does anyone remember the popcorn signing a.k.a. the day Terrell Owens became a Cowboy?

Does anyone remember how Jerry Jones had to explain the reasons why Terrell Owens was added to the roster and what would be expected of him beyond the customary job duties any wide receiver would be expected to perform?

Does anyone ever remember a big free agent signing which had to be explained to the viewing/listening audience?

I just thought that was kinda curious. Oh well. "Getcha popcorn ready!"

LOL That's the beauty in these reports.

When the reports are made up by reporters:
If Stephen says nothing, then people say that he is confirming with his silence.

If he says he never said it, then people say that he had to because he got saying what he really believes.

Either way, people who want it to be true will swallow it whole.

ok, so when we lost 4 of those last 5 games, and the offense looked hopeless and clueless in losses to New Orleans, Philly and Seattle (a team playing with street free agents in the secondary that day) what was your opinion? They couldnt run the ball a lick and lost to a 2 win Detroit team at home to close the season. What was your opinion of that? Sparano is God huh?

I bet it was Garretts fault, even though he wasnt here.

This is more for Theo by the way.

A. I like garret alot. I have said so many times. I like this offensive coaching staff alot too, I really like skip peete, john garret and ray sherman. So I am not sure where that comment is coming from?

B. Yes. When they struggled that is on everyone, like it always is. Football is not an individual thing. Without getting to specific, the detroit game we played well on offense, romo turned the ball over and that cost us. 06 the defense was lost. Completely lost. the new orleans game got out of hand and forced us to be one dimensional and new orleans shut that dimension down....Philly came in and beat us the same way in 06 as they did in 07. We missed plays. We had drops and missed throws that cost the offense and late in the game the defense couldnt get stops and the game was over.

As far as seattle goes, they basically gave us the running game that day and dared us to outscore them running the ball. Romo and the offense were off that day, but they still did enough to win that game, in the clutch when we needed it most romo took the team right down the field. the odd overturning of wittens first down and the botched snap cost us that game. Why the passing game couldnt get going I imagine it was because they took away the deep ball with their secondary playing so far off and back. then throw in a couple of big drops and we didnt score the points we should have.

You win and lose as a team. When the offense is bad, even if it is the qbs fault one day and the lines fault another, they played poorly together. that is what makes a team, that is what seperates the good units and teams from the bad ones.

It is my belief that no one should question the qb in the media, and if someone does that person should be ripped by another member of the team. Only the head coach and coaching staff should have that right.

I am not sure if you remember but there is a part of the detroit game and then again against seattle where parcells screamed at romo and in both games you can read his lips, I will never forget in the 2nd qtr against seattle when romo was coming to the sideline parcells told Romo If you keep it up I am going to put bledsoe in...and then bill turned and yelled as he was walking toward the bench again. What was romos response? he led what should have been a go ahead and game winning drive in the final minutes.

And to me that is what is missing from this team. It doesnt function collectively because of guys like owens, and in turn the whole thing gets out of whack and the respect is gone and no one can challenge anyone because of all the whining. this team needs to be as one and all players should be challenged at all times. entitlement is not a part of the nfl. Not for people who want to win.

I remember Jerry's "No one is going to burn down this organization while I'm around" statement.

Anyone smell smoke?

The thing I've wondered the past couple of weeks is how many people are going to be vilified in the service of defending Owens. Whether coaches, media, former players, whatever, it seems anyone who thinks Owens should be gone is an utter moron or has an agenda.

It is remarkable.

Either way, people who want it to be true will swallow it whole.

And people who don't will disparage it regardlesss.

Which is why everyone who has brought it up has said "if its true."

And really when mutiple media outlets are running with the story then that ups the probability there is something there.

Denying it out of hand is just as gullible as swallowing it whole though.

Smoke! I see a glimmer of fire already! Time to put some water on that!

like I said at end of that post, more directed at Theo

not according to some of those in CZ
Without getting to specific, the detroit game we played well on offense, romo turned the ball over and that cost us.

we couldnt run the ball a lick on them, shouldnt he get blame for that? or giving up on the run, after all thats what others blame Garrett for.

the new orleans game got out of hand and forced us to be one dimensional and new orleans shut that dimension down

New Orleans stunk on defense, and they shut us down.

....Philly came in and beat us the same way in 06 as they did in 07. We missed plays. We had drops and missed throws that cost the offense and late in the game the defense couldnt get stops and the game was over.

I recall them just beating our arse, not missing alot of plays

As far as seattle goes, they basically gave us the running game that day and dared us to outscore them running the ball.

ok one, why is that not Sparano's fault and two, Seattle had nothing in the secondary, NOTHING. We had 2 1000 yd WR's and a probowl TE. We attempted almost NOTHING down the field. It was one of the worst game planned and called games ever.

Romo and the offense were off that day, but they still did enough to win that game, in the clutch when we needed it most romo took the team right down the field. the odd overturning of wittens first down and the botched snap cost us that game. Why the passing game couldnt get going I imagine it was because they took away the deep ball with their secondary playing so far off and back. then throw in a couple of big drops and we didnt score the points we should have.

see above

thats not what some are saying here, you know the "Garrett is to blame for everything crowd"

Romo deserved to be yelled at those days, he was awful. Thats one of the things missing here now, is nobody will hold him accountable or yell at him when he screws up.
