Completely off-topic, philosophical question.

Can you provide proof of the concept of love; and if not, would you deny it out of hand?

Pretty much everyone is saying it. Even the ones who think it won't happen believe Jerry will balk at the last second, but it'll still be a close call.

I think he's done here, especially with Garrett coming back.

He may not be done even if Jerry wants him to be. Won't his cap hit be gi-normous?

is cutting owens going to solve these problems?

1. garretts simple game planning?
2. romo's 29 game streak of having a turnover?
3. garretts love for the pass no matter if the run is working?
4. the OL always being destroyed by a speed rushing team, or a blitzing team?
5a. crayton, roy, austin inability to deal with pressure coverage?
5b. can they handle a double team? NO!
6. the defense being able to get turnovers?
7. the defense being able to get off the field on 3rd down?
8. the safties being able to grasp th concept of a zone coverage?
9. the coaching staff being able to see the secondary doesnt grasp zone coverage?
10. some athletic lb'ers that can do more then just rush the qb?
11. the team getting a NT that will allow ratliff to play a more natural posistion that he isnt wore out by the end of the yr.
12. special teams who can cover a kick/punt?
13. special teams who can get more then 15 yrds on a kick, 5 yrds on a punt?
16. kickoff past the 10 yrd line so teams dont constantly start past the 35?

is cutting owens the cancer going to cure all of that? is owens affecting any of that? because anybody that actually watches the game and doesnt worry about owens can see thats whats wrong with the team. not this so-called owens is a cancer crap.

i say athletic lb'ers who do more then rush. because thats basically all ware does. he can cover, but he's not in the caliber of a harrison, or a woodley.

Yes, cutting Owens will solve all these problems as well as ensure world peace, end homelessness and stop global warming.:lmao:

So garret is a putz and haley is a weasel?
Yes.

Haley was attempting to tame the impossible.
Tattle-telling is lame. I learned that in kindergarten.

No other players were allowed to be late to practice and sleep through meetings. Why should he? because he has some numbers from other teams?
TO was fined. Just like any other player.

I love how haley is a weasel because he called out a guy for not doing his job he was paid to do by the boss, but owens is right for calling out garret with no merit repeatedly after games.
TO is a weasel too for running to the media, just like Haley. Just because I'd rather have TO than Garrett doesn't mean I think TO is a saint.

I feel love, so I have proof.

That's different than someone I don't know who is trying to get me to watch their program- telling me I am in love.

1. garretts simple game planning?

yep...spread the ball around to open guys

2. romo's 29 game streak of having a turnover?

yep, alot of those turnovers come on plays where he is forcing the ball to TO...
3. garretts love for the pass no matter if the run is working?

yep...no longer any pressure from the player or owner to call pass plays designed to get the ball to TO at all costs...plus HC already has said they will be a more run oriented, physical team going forward

4. the OL always being destroyed by a speed rushing team, or a blitzing team?

wow...amazing how teams didnt think to try any of that when the offense was rolling huh?

5a. crayton, roy, austin inability to deal with pressure coverage?

everyone of those guys can get open, in fact alot of times they are wide open when Romo forces the ball into double covered TO

5b. can they handle a double team? NO!

is there a defense thats going to allow all of them to be double covered? and Witten? and Bennett? and put 8-9 in the box too to slow down the 3 headed RB monster?

is cutting owens the cancer going to cure all of that? is owens affecting any of that? because anybody that actually watches the game and doesnt worry about owens can see thats whats wrong with the team. no this so-called owens is a cancer crap.

there are other issues, I think almost all of us say that...but he is a BIG issue

i say athletic lb'ers who do more then rush. because thats basically all ware does. he can cover, but he's not in the caliber of a harrison, or a woodley

when did Harrison and Woodley start playing ILB? and when do they do anything other than rush the passer? once or twice a game?

Ware is eons more a complete player than Woodley or Harrison by the way. Did Harrison make a single play again yesterday?

So he says in latest MMQB.

I believe it to. I think TO has played his last game here.

Excellent player most of the time, has given us some big production. But we will win more without him.

after being teased with the prospects of jason leaving for StL, getting excited about purging TO is just too much to hope for.

Settle down...No one said that.

You are off on a TO tangent today as if you are really gonna accomplish something. As I said, there's 9 million reasons TO isn't leaving and you can get on here and scream and yell all you want - but at the end of the day, it's just wasted bandwith. And you aren't gonna change anyone's mind who thinks we should keep him anymore than we are gonna change yours.

Could they release him? Sure. Will they? I doubt it. I guess one of us is right and one of us is wrong but all the message board postings in the world will affect that.

Ahh, you're back and slowly backing off that affirmation that ended all of your posts previously..."he'll be here so deal with it!"

Welcome back.

ok, so when we lost 4 of those last 5 games, and the offense looked hopeless and clueless in losses to New Orleans, Philly and Seattle (a team playing with street free agents in the secondary that day) what was your opinion? They couldnt run the ball a lick and lost to a 2 win Detroit team at home to close the season. What was your opinion of that? Sparano is God huh?

I bet it was Garretts fault, even though he wasnt here.

This is more for Theo by the way.
The defense was the problem at the end of 2006, not the offense.

Please, the coach was sent packing because TO complained to the owner. That's hardly like 'any other player.'

Sends a great message to the team. "These guys dare to confront you, we'll get rid of em boys".

I commend you for expending the energy to try and convince an audience driven by intense misguided hatred.

i know its a losing battle but this place is full of people who just think its their duty to either go with the mass opinion. or try to post some unwitty comment that they think is the contrary.

if owens gets cut, ill still be a cowboys fan. but i dont he's this single focal point thats affecting the growth of the team as some would be led to believe. does he say things that make u scratch ur head? sure, but what player doesnt. who cares its not like he affects the team on the field. ive never heard people bash a guy that ives 150% in games, and more then that for practice and the offseason.

for as much as people here bring out theories and have some very intelligent posts on other subjects and really sound educated. alot of them sound pretty stupid and simple minded when it comes to owens.

The cap thing isnt an issue at all. He only counts about 680k more to cut than to keep.

The issue is you've then cut a player and have the 9+ mils in dead cap space with no player for it. But there are others here to pick up the slack. He is not the only quality WR we have, nor th only quality offensive player we have.

The "coach" (& I use that term loosely) ran away from his perceived problems instead of embracing them and turning them into positives for his team. That's not much of a coach IMO.

SultanOfSix;2589476 said:
I haven't vilified anyone at the expense of TO besides the media. All I've heard from the media is "anonymous sources" saying this or that, and spewing the same line that TO is a distraction, cancer, and is the primary cause of all the 'Boys problems. Cut him, and everything will be honkey dory. Yeah right.

This team suffered from a lot of issues last year. TO isn't even close to the primary reason.

No one denies that. Why do the TO lovers always fall back to that and but not acknowledge that he was one of the problems?

Besides the laundry list of problems, a major one was the fact this team was not a "team." Getting rid of people who aren't with the program, particularly high profile, charasmatic ones sends a big message that unity is first and foremost. As the saying goes, no "I" in team.

I have you on ignore, but I saw that this was a reply to me because someone quoted you.

Haley left because he got a promotion to be Arizona's offensive coordinator.

you do know thats exactly how we see you.....dont you?

thats why they are called opinions....no need to climb on high horse thinking you are just absolutely correct.....time as it always does will show whos opinions were correct......and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose......
