Burnt Carr

I think Carr is doing a very good job will he get burnt at times? Yes the NFL sets up rules to favor the WR and the offense in general. DB will give up plays no 2 ways about it but thus far the secondary has done a good job. An area of weakness does not look weak this year

Church wasn't the reason why Carr was playing well, it was because the replacement refs were letting him and every other corner in the league grab and hold the receivers.

Lmao...

Ryan has changed his coverage scheme and carr isnt allowed to play up and press because he has no help over the top. Carr is a greaf press corner, he playa physical and Ryan is mqking him play off where he can't play his style.

We paid Brandon Carr $50M and he does a lot of crap that should be a penalty while playing defense.

Is he good? Or just good at cheating (holding) while playing defense? I've noticed he holds a lot.

He has been beaten a lot recently. Even by receivers 33+ year old.

I see ability, but not top CB money. Besides, cheating CB's IMO have about half real value. If I have to name cheap CBs that have got big contracts that were false quality CBs lately (see Eagles a couple of years ago) then I'm not going to tell you who they are.

Lets let all hell break lose and demand trades, fires, and whatever else will complete screw the Cowboys up worse than they already are.

Jailbreak!

Uninformed and doesn't watch football.

Dallas pass Defense is #2 in the entire NFL behind only SanFran, we're #1 untill yesterday.

Are you people blind?

What did Carr surrender, 50 yards?

This thread has no merit.

Thank you! This thread needed some common sense added to it. Carr is a terrific corner and very passionate. He is exactly what this team needs at corner.

Exactly right!

NO doubt about that.

The NFL has been a blood letting for passing this season, think about all the passing TDs every single week someone has 5 or 6 vs other DBs all around the NFL.

Yeh let's complian about the best played position on the entire Roster.

:shoot5:

All I can say about this defense is that if the offense could produce like they should, we'd be undefeated.

I'm sure Mo will coach him up and show him how it's done. No worries.

Yeah, he allowed some passes but a lot were 4-8 yard slants.

How can you be the top pass defense in the league and constantly get burnt? :lmao2:

If you don't get picks, you are toast.

mccray is horrible, and its unfair give blame to carr when he has no good safeties backing him up. why is mccray even considered a captain? i dont even think hes that great of a ST player either.. Frampton on the other hand is proving his worth on ST

It's hard to look good when you have incompetent safeties behind you. I don't see why that is so hard to understand.

Carr was fantastic with the replacement refs. They were letting things go that these refs are calling. He has to make the adjustment to the regular refs. If he doesn't we will have too much money tied up in a good but not spectacular cb.

I guess the replacement refs also did all of Kansas City's games last year too, then.

I think the team lost a lot of confidence in the safety play when Church went down.

Dallas had held it's first 3 opponents to passing totals of:

  • New York: 187 Passing Yards
  • Seattle: 133 Passing Yards
  • Tampa: 91 Passing Yards

Church goes out against the Bucs in the 3rd quarter and the last three games have been.

  • Chicago: 267 Passing Yards
  • Baltimore: 230 Passing Yards
  • Carolina: 216 Passing Yards

We faced only 80 attempts in the first three games and 97 in the last three. We weren't very good against Chicago or Baltimore, but our pass defense against Carolina was much better than it was against Seattle.

You also have to wonder whether Spencer makes more of a difference than Church. We allowed a much higher average per pass (9.4 yards) and a much higher completion percentage (70.0) without Spencer than we have without Church (7.75 and 64.4). And our interception percentage without Church (1.15) is almost the same as it was with him (1.25), while it's much higher with Spencer (1.7) than without him (0.0).

How can he do that when Carr is on the opposing teams best receiver and Mo is on the teams #2? And I don't even think the Panthers have a legit #2 lol.

I never understood the infatuation with Carr from the fans to begin with, the guy wasn't even the best corner on his team and he comes here and gets a 50 million dollar contract. There was a reason the Chiefs let him walk without putting up much of a fight. He's solid but he's nothing special.

Really?? Maybe we should've resigned Newman.

Come on people. Getting burnt is what Victor Cruz did to the Commanders yesterday to win the game. Our corners are helping us stay in games.
