When does anyone even play 3 teams in a row with a winning record? In 2020 Brady played a total of 5 teams that finished with a winning record for the season … he was 1-4 vs those teams...SB. Last year’s SB winner has a career 11-72 record vs “winning teams. Deshawn Watson 7-19. There’s maybe 5 active QBs who are over 500 vs teams with winning records… Jimmy Garaffalo is one. You really think ole Jimmy is a gold standard of QBs!

This is a great point. I'm not going to waste my morning going back and looking through the schedule to see how many opportunities there were to face teams with winning records three times in a row, but I appreciate the perspective.

No, not really.

Dak doesn't run like he used to thereby he now has limited mobility and if you saw the Rush throw to Lamb the pass had 46 yards of air time.....so that is Rush having a weak arm? Interesting.

PS

Dak's longest pass per season:

2016: 83
2017: 81
2018: 90
2019: 62
2020: 58
2021: 51
2020: 22

So if Dak has such a better arm than Rush why is it that Dak's longest throws per season has dramatically declined???

Yes, Rush has a weak arm. Very weak.

Distance is irrelevant, all NFL QBs can throw the ball 40 yards. Velocity on those throws determine if a QB can make all the throws necessary in this league or if the offense needs to be tweaked to compensate for lack of arm strength. Rush’s combine velocity was a paltry 45 mph, that’s bottom end for even a backup. Dak who is constantly criticized for lack of arm strength (amongst other things) was 54 MPH. For reference Brady was 56 MPH, Mahommes 58 MPH, and Josh Allen was a finger breaking 62MPH. Rush is always going to be limited, he’s always going to be a one read and dump off. His ceiling in this league is Danny Wuerfel!

Jeez Louise, is it really so hard just to be happy that our team is 3 and 1and playing entertaining football?
thats great pompey, but we all know where this is leading, back to dak, and back to the same ol same ol.
So enjoy this oasis of rush games.

That's a lot of research just to try and discredit Dak. Now go back and look at how Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson, and Brady have performed against teams with winning records. Because, in order for you to really discredit Dak, you need to pin him against the league's elites.
thats a lot of work !! I think the dak defenders should do that!:D

Agree Rush isn't the real deal.. have stated that multiple times. However it shows that Dak is really not up to the task.
No it doesn’t show that. That’s just fuzzy logic based in agenda.

Will Dak take the same risks deep downfield that Rush will?

Our passing game was awful week 1 and the WRs were getting blame. The WRs look pretty good with Rush.
He already has and he’s better at it. Do you need time rush through the ball is when CeeDee Lamb was wide open. I haven’t seen him make one pass to the sidelines. Overall I’m very impressed with Cooper rush. What is no Prescott. Week one was a totally different offensive line set up. And right off the bat the left guard was injured. Moving Smith to be outside for his first game.

You guys keep pushing goal posts….so he won 11 games last year but it’s a “team record”. But to discredit him you use the “record against good teams argument”. What quarterback has beaten 3 good teams in a row?
Rush hasn’t beat 3 good teams in a row either. Giants are bottom dwellers so are the skins although I see improvement in both
Cincy may very well finish 3rd in their division this year
I’d say 4th but I don’t think even Tomlin can help the Steelers

Dak sucks because:

1. He is chunky and runs like a robot. A lot of the time “prime Dak” was simply getting away from defenders by his stocky body and ability to outmuscle a defender, which is a long term disaster
2. He throws with his arm and off his back foot regularly
3. He constantly pumps the ball, waiting for his WR to be wide open before he throws it
4. He can’t read a defense to save his life
5. His pocket presence goes to garbage
6. His anticipation sucks

And the list goes on and on..
Don’t forget the deer in the headlights look…he’s done once you see it. Dazed and confused and it doesn’t take much.

I have held the belief since 2016 that Dak was the luckiest man in football. After watching so many dismiss the last 3 weeks by Rush as a 'fluke', or 'bad opposition' or 'luck'... I thought I'd take a stroll down memory lane about the times when Dak has managed to win 3 in a row.

So 2016 he gets on the 'hottest' of hot streaks. There is no denying that we were a vastly superior team to most others in 2016. We had a soft schedule and Dak made the most of weapons including the electric Zeke. 10 wins in a row 'won' him the starting spot that is seemingly now his without question for at least four more years.

In 2017 he gets 3 wins in a row twice.. the first trio coming against the hapless 49ers and Football Team plus a decent win against a building Chiefs team. The second trio was again racking up junk yards against the pathetic Skins and Giants and then a nice OT win against the Raiders (who didn't make playoffs). In fact of these 6 wins.. not one was against a playoff bound team.

In 2018 he wins 3 or more times just once in a 'nice' little 5 game streak.. capturing the huge scalps of the Eagles (sans a QB), Falcons, Football Team (sans a QB), a nice win against the Saints and then another win against the Eagles to round it out. Of that run.. Eagles make the Playoffs due to lucky Wildcard.. Saints were a decent team.

2019 he wins 3 in a row only once.. against the Giants, Football Team and Dolphins.. none of whom even sniff the playoffs.

in 2020, Dalton puts together a 3 game win streak against the Bengals, 49ers and Eagles.. none of whom make the playoffs.

In 2021, Dak reels of another nice 5 game win streak.. against the Chargers, Eagles, Panthers, Giants and Patriots. Only the Eagles and Pats make the playoffs.. both as wildcards.

So.. 7 seasons in and Dak has never won three games in a row against teams with a winning record at the time we played them. It was just interesting to see that Dak has literally made a living off beating up on a weak division. I know that it is easy to say.. well Rush only beat Giants and Commanders.. but they look much improved on the past few years. So anyone who is saying that Rush isn't the real deal because of the opposition.. has to acknowledge that by the same token.. Dak has never been the real deal. If Rush beats Rams this week.. he will have achieved something Dak has never.. a win streak of 3 or more that includes 2 out of division teams that have a winning record.

On a side note.. how the fark did our FO pay 40M to a guy that can't beat two teams with a winning record in a row?!!
Dakota "TOAD HUNTER" Prescot is a standing joke in the NFL. DCs in the league have his number week in and week out. The best thing that happen to the Cowboys this year is TOADIE's injury, it allowed R-U-S-H to come in and show everyone that with an excellent defense and an offense that scores a few points and doesn't turn over the ball, this team is a lot better off without Dakota " TOAD HUNTER" Prescot!
