Disclaimer: I watched the game off and on, haven't rewatched it, and I wasn't necessarily focused in solely on him.

I don't know if it was just me, but I felt like he looked, well, crappy and lost out there.

I know he's a rookie, and -as I am typically an optimist- I think he'll learn from his mistakes. I do think the proverbial brakes need to be pumped on him a bit though.

From what I saw of him tonight in his extended playtime, he's not close to being ready to be a starter.

A lot of this could have to do with the fact that most of the guys surrounding him are going to be cut this week, so maybe he just looked bad because of the lack of talent around him. He was playing mostly safety, so maybe he was cleaning up other guys' mistakes. I don't know.

I do know that he is very intelligent and athletic, so I trust he'll learn from his mistakes, and have the ability to correct them.

What did you guys think of him tonight?

He's 5th on the depth chart for a reason. I agree with you, He might be overwhelmed switching from S/CB. He'll be okay , growing pains.

The athleticism from the underwear olympics isn't translating so far. He can stay with a receiver but he can't make a play on a ball for his life.

I hope that once he gets the mental aspect of the game down, he'll be able to convert it to instinct and rely on that elite athleticism.

He wasn't going to be a starter anyways. He got some much needed reps and will only grow. I suspect that we will see him in certain packages and won't be asked to carry the load.......minus any injuries of course. White, Patmon, Carr and Mo has got this :D

White looked good tonight, even without that TD.

Shows people were going overboard on how much Claiborne sucks. Jones looks like he needs to be developed, and the coaches need to pick whether he's going to be a CB or a safety and do it fast. The guy isn't so immensely talented that he can play both positions with ease. Pick one and let him learn the game at this level.

I watched 0 moments of this game because nothing in the game means anything. The coaches were undoubtedly looking for specific things from specific guys, but what we saw means nothing. Certainly not from a rookie in the secondary with preseason passrushing

Hated this pick from day one.

Way too many players are passed over because of how fast they can run....how high they can jump...etc...

It's still early, I agree with @kevm3 they need to stop this nonsense of playing him at multiple positions. Is he going to be a CB or is he going to be a Safety? They should decide, don't make me regret not having this in the middle of our defense
