With the draft a couple days away, how do you see it going down?
Smoot could be a real steal1. Adoree Jackson CB
2. Markus Maye S
3. Cordrea Tankersley CB
4. Dawuane Smoot DE
Absolutely nothing concrete since it hasnt come from the club, but the Draft Show guys dont think Barnett is a RDE fit here.Have a hard time nailing down who I think they like at DE here. If the DE isn't there, I think the pick is Adoree Jackson, but I imagine they'd prefer to get the DL first and the CB later.
Of the DEs, I think they're probably looking at Watt or Harris. Barnett won't be there, but they'd jump on him if he were. I don't know why I don't think they like Taco as much as he projected to go to us quite a bit, but I don't.
The other option is a small trade down, where Bowser or McDowell come into play. Then the other CBs. Bowser I knock slightly because he didn't go to a bigger program. McDowell has his challenges. They tend to stick to the safest bets in the first round these days.
Noice!1. Adoree Jackson CB

Maybe be somewhat valid, but there is interest enough from the club for him to be a 30
McDowell is a real option at 28 IMO. Top 10, maybe even 5 talent but will slip. Dont think if they pass on that talent level at 28.Have a hard time nailing down who I think they like at DE here. If things are going to go down like they appear to be, like choosing Adoree Jackson at 28, trading out of the round would be like a divine gift to me.Im guessing (and hoping) we dont even pick on Thursday....
Had that feeling too, but talk is they he will be on PUP.Not a fan of Jackson but I'll take him over Peppers.
I have a gut feeling Takk is the man.
I see it being between Adoree and Watt most likely. I think they have a preference for pass rushers I think they go Watt and draft Tankersley in the 2nd.
I could see Jackson at 28 with McKinley at 60 as well. Takk could be a big faller if he may start on PUP

Do you have Jason Garrett's phone number or email address?I absolutely hate, hate, hate that we can seemingly disqualify good players because they don't "fit" our scheme. It would be one thing if that scheme was tried and true and won a lot of football games. But that is not the case. It just comes across as stubborn and shiftless. It is not the same as taking talent, figuring out what they do best and then capitalizing on it. We look for prototypes and look for the right size peg to fit the hole. Sometimes the problem might be the hole to begin with.
Thats the downside of a scheme thats needs scheme fits. Where the upside is you may get value on players late, some very talented players early wont fitI absolutely hate, hate, hate that we can seemingly disqualify good players because they don't "fit" our scheme.
