Calling some of you posters out

Shockingly enough, the reaction on this board is mild in comparison to the three previous WINS.

I think neosapien is right. We are very good, but don't play to the level of our talent: that's due to our COACHING, COACHING, COACHING. Last year and this year: the penalties, the boneheaded mistakes, and the thin game plans we usually play over. Wade was completely outcoached today right up to the "12 men on the field" debacle. 12
MEN ON THE FRIGGIN' FIELD OUT OF A TIMEOUT!!!!!!" That's high school horsecrap gents and you know it. So yes, right now this team is overrated and overhyped. We're one Westbrook fumble away from 2-2. BUMP MY OPINION TO THE SUPER BOWL FOR ALL I CARE. We won't be there anyway if today and the philly game are any indication. WAY too many loose ends. You all know it deep down too, so don't shoot the messenger.(penalties, play calling, lack of motivation, etc....) I'd like to think Wade could clean this up by the end of the season for the playoffs, but I've seen no sign of that so far in the two years he's been here. So count me as a naysayer right now. I'd love to be wrong in the end because that would mean the team I've followed and loved for 30 years would be in the Super Bowl.

Oh I tottally agree.

But thats the thing.

Over the years of posting I have noticed how the average joe fan thinks.

Everyone puts a "limit" on everything and they don't ever expect a team can improve and get better.

We expect they can but we have yet to see it. The lack of playoff victories really backs that up.

Just tired of losing games that I feel like we're clearly supposed to win. That's all I'm tired of but none the less I'm not crushed by it. We'll get back on track and beat the Bengals, Cards, and Rams and go into the bye week, getting ready for the G-Men, at 6-1.

This is very true. But if we dont start doing that... there will be trouble.

I'm sorry but if the Cowboys do not win the SB this year given the amount of attention they have received, the amount of talent on the team and the fact that a majority of the fans and media have basically crowned them champs any thing less then a SB win and we deserve the title of over rated.

Ok well than to you it will be over rated but tell that to the 16 teams we play the next season when they see Dallas on their schedule.

I expect big things from this team. But I dont buy into the Win it all or you suck mentality.

Catch, I'd like to say this.

Coming up to the Skins game, I was afraid of the Skins. Don't know why, but I was.

My biggest problem with this game is the fact that we don't seem to come with the fire that the Commanders do. It's as if our players don't hate the Commanders as much as the Commanders hate us. It really rarely feels as if Dallas is playing out of sheer emotion. It just has a business-like feel to me. Business-like is great...it won us the Packer game IMO, but there are times when you need emotion. There are times when you need hate to lead you. We're the better team. What bothered me is that we didn't seem to have the fire to win.

I honestly can't see this team do anything except compete in the Super Bowl.

I'd just like for the cockiness to stop, and I'd like to enjoy the ride of this season without the whole knee-jerk "we're the best" or "we're the worst".

I like that instead of the usual "It was the ref's fault" or "We gave the game away", some posters are actually giving the other team credit for the victory, like wowzers! And hey, maybe Jason Campbell is actually becoming a good QB and Zorn isn't necessarily in over his head!

Over rated? I don’t think so but I have to admit I’m not sure how to judge this game. We looked terrible against a team that I think is a good team but not great. It almost seemed to me like we were treating this like a Pre Season game and experimenting with the play calling. Maybe I’m wrong but what was with all the T.O plays? Not just the three back to back passes but he was running the ball as well. I know you have to try new things but this just seemed a little strange to me.

I certainly buy the win it all or season really meant nothing mentality because I don't know of any player or coach that plays the game to see how many regular season victories they can rack up.

I'm almost certain you would have a hard time finding any Patriots player that would not trade the 16-0 regular season for a Super Bowl win.

i blame the players. specifically the backups.

proctor is horrible.

on defense: courtney brown is not a safety. he sat back instead of attacking on that 30yd run by portis.

on the key 2nd and 9 play right after the 12men on the field. they had stephen bowen in who got blown off the ball.

gotta also blame bradie james for that third down conversion where jason campbell just flipped it out to cooley. cooley runs into bradie. and bradie decides to drop back instead of stay with him.

the team just made too many mistakes against a Commanders team that made none. it's that simple.

due to the superior talent on the cowboys they almost pulled it out though.

I agree. We didn't play NFC East style football today.

When we beat good teams its usually because we are more physical. Today we tried to finesse a win in a NFC Rivalry game.

Our identity this year has been dictating the game by punching the other team square in the mouth.

Today we came out slapping instead of getting our Kimbo slice on.

But its hard to question a guy like Jason Garret after some of the Masterpieces he has put together.

Hes smart enough to learn from his mistakes and I expect him to fix the problem.

Come December if the defence is still struggling to make crucial stops and the offence can't found a balance attack, Yeah then panic should set. But, let be honest this team has peak way to easy the last two season and have failed to maintain the level of played during the most important part of the season. Let hope we have learn from the past mistakes and peak at the right time in December and Janaury.

I agree that everyone is playing for the trophy and not regular season games. No Duh.

I just dont think because the Patriots lost the Superbowl last year means they suck.

No, they did not suck and I think this thread needs to draw the line between "sucks" and "over rated"

I don't think we suck but I think we are over rated.

Over rated from what stand point?

So true.

I don't mind the grousing when we lose. The grousing when we win is so annoying.

That this team was crowned by a majority of the fans and the media as SB Champions if not in the least the favorites before even the first game was played and the did not live up to it thus over rated.

The better team won today

The better coached team won today

The team that wanted it more won today

The team that played smarter won today

The team whose QB played smarter won today.

The team who tackled & covered better won today.

The better team WHOOPED OUR *** AT HOME today.

and I'm not in the least bit surprised.

Yes we are overrated. For at least these 3 basic reasons.

1. our owner is an pie-in-the-sky homer and gives xmas bonuses in october to players with a losing mentality. Year after year, player after player.

2. our head coach is bottom-3 in the NFL, if not bottom-2. I can't actually think of a worse coach other than maybe herm edwards and at least he played in the NFL.

3. cowboy fans are non-critical "cheerleaders" who give free pass after free pass to this team when they have done NOTHING to show we're a playoff-ready team. This trend started in 1996 BTW since prior to '91 most 'boys fans were afraid and embarrassed to wear dallas gear (we were 1-15 in 1989 for the kiddies reading).

If we win anything THIS YEAR it's in spite of this and will be a football miracle. All stars, the sun and moon aligned. We're the very definition of overrated. Alot of talk and alot of eggs laid.

Bookmark it... Wade should have been fired in the off season and we need to jettison Wade at the bye week (it's unrealistic to think it would happen sooner).

Myself and others have joked around about what this board would be like if we ever lost a game. The knee jerk over reactions is really no surpise to me.

I just want to know that if you truly believe this team is over rated and not really that great than sign your name in this thread.

I will be glad to bump it throughout the season when we are having much success. ( ask fuzzylumpkins)

First off I want to say the congrats to the Commanders, they won.

But does anyone honestly believe the better team won?

If you think we are over rated from a "what has Dallas accomplished" standpoint than Ok... I can buy that.

But if you think that Dallas is over rated from a talent Stand point than I think you are borderline crazy.

That just seems to shallow for me.

People predict Dallas to win it all because Dallas is one heck of a team.

Ok then, just humor me. What scenario would need to happen for you to consider them over rated?
