Thanks for the head's up.

I think that Jones did have some connection to Mort's son.

Or maybe Mort just saw him there while visiting his son.

There's an article Mort did a few years back pimping Jones big-time.

Calling him the next Randy Moss or something.

And people think I have it bad!

You are. He gets paid to have a trouser tent over players. You just do it for free.

Don't we all?

Or are you on somebody's payroll?

I think if we could maybe throw the ball to the receivers we've got, and then they catch it, then we would be ok. They do tend to catch it, if it's thrown reasonably close to them. (and preferably not near a HOF DB)

I'm on someone's payroll.

Just so you know, my services are up for sale. Couple bucks and I'll rep Matt Jones for ya.

he's an idiot. I'd rather Dallas give Ogletree a shot first. Thats' why they kept him.

seriously, I decided to let the roster play out. See what Hurd and Austin had before deciding on Jones. Now that we are 4 games into the season. BRING THE MAN IN!

What's this obsession with matt jones? I don't get it!?!? If he was worth anything be wouldn't be available...

Mort is on GAC lobbying for us to sign Matt Jones. He says we need a red zone WR, and while Matt has been lazy before, Mort says he's very motivated now. With Mort's Arkansas ties, maybe he knows something.

He actually went on for a couple minutes about it. Kind of odd for him to bring that up out of the blue.

We know how everyone feels about Matt Jones... Just thought I'd throw it out there. :)

Mort just needs to stick to being a mediocre football reporter who brings nothing to the table every week instead of lobbying for losers.

If anything play Kevin Ogletree.

So our new savior is an undrafted rookie free agent? Amazing !!!

well at first i was drooling way back when we could have gotten matt jones instead of marcus spears;
so to a degree both players m jones & spears have played about the same but spears hasnt had personal issues like jones has had.

now to add to that, when i read what matt jones did when he got drunk, i said i didnt want anything to do with this knucklehead

we just had cleaned out our locker room problems

yet i think you all realize how much right now we are missing greg ellis on pass rush and blitz; we need playmakers on this team

i think with what matt jones has had to go through, maybe he has learned now
sometimes you take a chance and look at that player

matt could help us in the red zone scoring and he can get deep too
at 6-6 230 with 4.38 speed, he can run deep and outjump players too

also another thing to think about, matt jones could possibly run the wildcat offense

Now that's something I agree with. Not that KO is the savior, but for years I've wanted us to get a guy with some quickness. We have all these tall, long striders that can't create separation. It's kind of amazing that we don't have a single quick WR.

Next year we do that for sure IMO.

I think KO runs better routes than Hurd.

If Hurd stays horizontal we are tied.

I think they should have stopped the clock when Dawkins basically tackled/pushed him out of bounds.

U must believe!!

All our UDFA's can make big plays!

I'm surprised you don't like O-tree. He's supposed to be real fast. You can't teach that.

I agree. I do like him. Just am not optimistic about Romo hitting him in stride. If he cant hit 4.72 Pat Crayton, how is he going to hit Oglestud?
