Yes, though I still think they are returning. I said prior to the season that I saw this as similar to what I read about the 1991 season (I wasn't born yet) where the team showed signs o being special, but didn't quite get to the top. It was the next season when they did it. It's still trending that way imo.

This defense is still trash and all the happy talk lipstick on this Pig aint changing this fact. The GMless needed to go out and get a run stuffing DT. How long now have some been wanting this? It's not an illusion. Our run defense sucks and the only thing saving us is the fact other OC's are just to stupid or bullheaded to see it. Denver saw the weakness and exploited it. I think now the blue print is out. Watch how much we get ran on coming in the following weeks.

Oh, I know they'll get run on. I wanted a run stopping DT as well. I'm just not ready to throw in the towel yet on this season. It's one loss. They can learn, and I think they will. Also, we are still much higher than I think a lot thought we'd be at this point. Who thought we'd be 6-2 at this spot?

Next week is telling. Another 4-4 team, this one coming off a nice road win. Another game we SHOULD win. Will we be as anemic as we were today? Or do we turn it around?

Agree, just like this week, yes Denver is not the Jets but no excuse for what happened and we get to do it again next week. No excuses for real next week for another team that we should dominate.

I know we are upset with what happened today. That said, let's take a moment to calm down.

1stly, it's only our 2nd loss this season. Stop acting like we're 4-4. We're 6-2 and still in control with the division.

2nd. The Bucs carry 2 losses and are on a bye, the Packers trail thirteen nil and KC has the ball, and the Cards are up, but we play them later this season. As such, no harm appears to be done with the standings with this loss.

3rd. The loss was to an AFC team. No tiebreakers are impacted. Again, no harm done.

4th. The Broncos are a good team. They had a couple unlucky losses this season, but the team shouldn't be shunned as a lowly team.

5th. All great teams go through a bad match or two. What matters is how they respond. Let's see what we do next week.

As such, let's settle down. No time to panic.

I've been avoiding the forum all day cause of this. Didn't catch the whole game at the hospital but I'm glad I didn't, they just pissed me off the more I watched. **** happens, but I think they were letting this Superbowl talk get to them, might bring some reality to them and kicks their *** into high gear for the rest of the season. Agreed it’s only one game…. However next weeks game becomes extremely important. With the fact we go to kc the week after. Lose these next two and all of a sudden at 6-4 things aren’t as much of a lock for the playoffs as we though.

And I think that may have played a part also, thinking since Miller was gone and the LB from NC State has been hurt, it was not going to be too tough.
