Why is he being allowed to do that? It's not the least bit concerning, if not down right alarming to you that a veteran QB of Dak's status needs to be babysat like that?

Dak, by his own admission, is continuing on the path of aggressiveness which he started down last season. The problem is, as you point out here, he just isn't built for that.

Ironically, the Gallup play you reference here, is evidence of this conundrum. That ball to Gallup needed to be thrown aggressively. Meaning it needed to be out before Gallup even broke back on the comeback. This play really illustrates what Dak is. He combined his innate propensity to be cautious with his newfound desire to be aggressive, resulting in his receiver having to become the defender on a late but aggressively thrown ball.

I wouldn't call any of the throws you mention "no look" throws. He could clearly see the receivers in all examples.

It will be fascinating to see if the new and improved, more aggressive Dak figures it out, or if he needs to be "allowed" or "not allowed" to throw certain passes like you suggest.
Any QB regardless of age or experience can improve and fix their mistakes. The question is will the Cowboys coaching staff enforce such improvements?

How do you"enforce" improvements?

It would seem it either happens or it doesn't...and the player is more responsible...or just as. By "enforce"....I think there's only one option.

Reps in practice are key to running a well oiled machine. That being said, you practice like you play or practice is worthless.
Yeah, I don't get the whole "test boundaries" as a cart blanche excuse. I'm not saying you shouldn't ever do that. BUT I completely agree that if the play isn't there, the correct "practice" is not to force it. Come game time, that needs to be the automatic reaction.

Good lord, Dak threw like 8 touchdowns yesterday and all ESPN wants to talk about is his interceptions to the best interceptor in the league and a former all pro linebacker.
In our band...we're very happy when a song comes off perfect. But we talk more about our errors, when they happen.

Yep!. While this is certainly time to work on discipline, also just as important to work on instinct and "muscle memory".

Because people fear His legs . . . Once His legs go, no more fear . . . Its all relative

But your argument is that he is the best "Pocket Passer" in the NFL . . . OK
If that is your opinion of Hurts game\talents that is fine and even justifiable. However, the numbers say he was a good passer last season. They are no less valid than any number for that you might agree with. Perhaps there is context missing from the numbers but if he is or becomes a good passer he can have a great career even if his legs become less of a weapon.

Huh? Ever played football? That's what good coaches are for.

And is that typical of Dak?
Over his entire career, no. However, his turnovers have been trending up.

Guess it comes down to which you believe more. What will we get going forward and can we be a championship level team with either? That is the real question.

I'm glad someone pointed this out. All I see is practicing a turnover.
That's exactly what it is. I don't understand why it's being allowed to continue...or encouraged? I see the coaches as the ones responsible for this mess that can easily be fixed.
