You put Dak on that Eagles team from last year and he absolutely tears it up.

#1 Oline in the NFL, #1 run game in the NFL and great passing weapons on all 3 levels. WR, TE, RB

Plus he has an incredible HC and offense that he plays in. Then of course a great defense that lead the NFL in sacks.

Most QB's would thrive in that offense. Look what Purdy and Garrapollo were able to do in SF surrounded by all that talent and great coaching.
I have no argument with that at all in fact i agree with it.

Actually it doesnt at all. considering his long history of not having a pick issue and the many many opinions and analysis of experts on how most werent on Dak.

Only the idiots with an agenda talk about it like it matters.

Only idiots think 12 points in a playoff game is swell That’s where your 140 million man should shine under the spotlight not wilt like a daisy . I hear all the hoopla about this “ new offense “. I hope in crunch time on the ROAD it scores big .

Well 15 INT’s in less than a season will sound alarm bells .

:espn:
And is that typical of Dak?

No. Now, sure it could be a sign of things to come, but Dak's history is that he's not a high int qb, year to year.

Let's wait and see what happens this year...

That was brilliance . And no I wouldn’t be looking to extend the contract either , let’s see Dallas get real playoff success NFCC at the least before extending 140 $$
Wouldn't extend Dak either, just too many things could happen this year, before a team dumps a massive amount of money on one player get as much info as you can....

Agreed.

I HATE how Dak is continuing to throw those no-look deep go routes in practice which a few are ending up a yard short and intercepted in trainjng camp. Why is he being allowed to do that? Same no-look pass to what was supposed to be a comeback route along the left sideline to Gallup which was easily intercepted during the 49ers playoff game loss.

Those are probably intended to see how the receivers run routes, handle long throws and so forth far more than seeing how Dak can throw deep passes....

I understand, but it's stupid. It has obviously created a bad and costly habit. Why not cut down on that no-look "timing" bs? Wouldn't that keep INTs and costly turnovers down? Plus, if you're being forced by coaching to throw that, he'll, throw it deep enough to where only the WR can catch it! SMH

Yes but you can't learn to do long routes well unless you practice them, at some point you'll need them in a game. Probably shouldn't do too many of them, of course. I get your point....

Ok, but if you're being forced by coaching to throw that, hell, throw it deep enough to where only the WR can catch it! SMH

Good lord, Dak threw like 8 touchdowns yesterday and all ESPN wants to talk about is his interceptions to the best interceptor in the league and a former all pro linebacker.

Why is he being allowed to do that? It's not the least bit concerning, if not down right alarming to you that a veteran QB of Dak's status needs to be babysat like that?

Dak, by his own admission, is continuing on the path of aggressiveness which he started down last season. The problem is, as you point out here, he just isn't built for that.

Ironically, the Gallup play you reference here, is evidence of this conundrum. That ball to Gallup needed to be thrown aggressively. Meaning it needed to be out before Gallup even broke back on the comeback. This play really illustrates what Dak is. He combined his innate propensity to be cautious with his newfound desire to be aggressive, resulting in his receiver having to become the defender on a late but aggressively thrown ball.

I wouldn't call any of the throws you mention "no look" throws. He could clearly see the receivers in all examples.

It will be fascinating to see if the new and improved, more aggressive Dak figures it out, or if he needs to be "allowed" or "not allowed" to throw certain passes like you suggest.
