I heard Aikman recently on WFAN Radio say that while Foles has been impressive, he hasnt been as impressive as his numbers would lead you to believe. Troy said that at the other end of several of the TD passes were receivers that made spectacular plays on poorly thrown balls. He wasnt ripping Foles, just saying that he has benefitted from some great plays by his receivers.

He has the best Passer Rating in the NFL and headed for a top 5 all-time passer rating finish.

Whatever, I guess it's all luck.

It's been said a few times that Foles doesn't look nearly as good on Rewind as he does during the game. That level of knowledge is above my pay grade, but it is something that gets said. I don't think Foles is a dud or anything, but I do think he benefits from the scheme.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next year when there's plenty of tape on Kelly's system and an offseason to work on it.

I remember hearing people say something similar about RGIII's game a year ago, and I didn't believe it then. I was wrong. You're right, it should be interesting to see.

Exactly! Me and you will do the prudent thing...and not put him in Canton quite yet.

Are you guys referring to Foles in Kelly's system as for "film next year"? Just saying because he did play a lot in 2012, but that was w/ Reid & Co.

It's absolutely true. His receivers made some great catches, but, you could scratch Foles out and put every single quarterback that's played and say the same thing. I mean Peyton Manning has been all world but let's face it, his receivers have made some great catches multiple times every game. It balances out for everyone, and yet statistically this year Foles is at a historic pace for not only a 24-year-old, but anyone. We have to keep in perspective Foles is no different than any other quarterback, yet people look for excuses to hold him to different standards. He's been incredible this year, statistically I'll give him that. Greatness is achieved over time. We'll see down the road how he levels out.

He is one of my FF QBs (2 QB league) and I have watched a lot of his games this year. His reason for success is that he knows where his receivers will be and, just as important, seems to really know the tendencies of the opposing defenses he plays. Everything I have seen on the field tends to tell me he is very studios and meticulous in his approach to the game of football, so good on him in perfecting his craft this year and good on that coaching staff in maximizing his talents up to this point.

hes the next tom brady, if will be disappointing watching him probably win the superbowl this season.

I think Philly is ranked 30th in defense however, that is what Mark Brunnell said on ESPN.........................they are not going to win the SuperBowl with a defense that bad.

yep eagles are not contenders this year with this putrid defense, neither are the cowboys with a terrible defense of their own

both need to draft mostly defense this upcoming off-season, both mostly have to focus on players in the secondary

He's the Eagles QB. I'm sure not about to say he's great or be impressed by him.

Even if he's having a good year he's horse doo doo just being an Eagle. :)
