Not concerned with how my comment appears to you, but what we saw from Dak last year wasn't close to what we've seen from him pre-injury. I never said you have to run 20 yards for a run to be effective, but you have to run, and last year Dak just didn't. He's either hesitant because of the injury, or our coaches are even dumber than I gave them credit for. A Vick? Of course not, but he could turn the tide of a game back in the day with his run ability. He took the game on his shoulders and won the playoff game against Seattle with his feet.
Injuries have a psychological effect as well as physical.
Years ago, when I was a young pup I was doing squats at the gym, and the only other guy there managed to convince me that I could do a 400 lb squat, as I was doing like 365 lbs for several reps.
Well, when coming up with the weight I was only able to get about halfway up, got stuck, and all I could do was duck my head and chunk the bar on the floor.
Scared you-know-what out of me, for weeks afterwards when I got even like 275 lbs on the bar my legs began to shake, and I had to put the weight back on the rack. Eventually I got my confidence back (though never did get to that 400 lb level) and was able to do 365 again.
I think Dak still had the leg injury in the back of his mind, and the coaches probably knew that, so he didn't "push it" last year. But he says he doesn't even think about it now. Could be he's lying of course, but we will see what happens this year.
If it turns out you're right let me know and I'll have no problem admitting you were right...
