Its not but go ahead and try to make comp when daks not even on team and roster with those coaches to know for sure , show me the proof its like Stafford as lion did squat but put up stats, less then dak, put him on the rams team and hes a SB winner..

Young didnt do squat his first 8 that eight season first real snaps 10 games as a starter 5-5 got that all of sudden he had some great years but nothing statically staggering at al nothing impressive really, he was the benefit of being on great team as aikman was..its goes long way brah..that comical you are blind to how career are effected by the teams you are on both positively and negatively.

daks on good team so he looks good, put him on great team and i bet all fo sudden the same production the same dak could win SB../those are facts..we see it flacco, eli, dilfer, foles and on and on and on players like Jimmyg, Goff, Kap, and wentz make Sbs with a great team.

you was NOT an elite throwing top of his class type qb he wasn't he was very good but looked great in that scheme with those players and those coaches.

he could be effective with smarter coaching.
I would tell dak to run from the pocket if hole opens up, do it alot early in the game.
and I would teach him to slide or go down, out of bounds, never take a hit. those yards would add up, and wjould drive defenses crazy.

I dont like designed runs except close to goal line, and even then not so much if it results in hits.
Dak running is good as long as he never takes hits.

No, Dak was never a Michael Vick/Lamar Jackson etc. type of runner, for goodness' sake his 40 time at the combine was 4.79 and he didn't have great quickness either.

We saw last year he still runs about like he always did, slow, yes but he can still make a few yards. An "effective" run doesn't have to be a 20 yarder, "effective" means he makes a few yards when all the receivers are covered, e.g. and he can still do that.

Not saying it is, but your comment appears to be another bash Dak one, if so then just do it...

He's trying to work on that.
My point is that he doesn't use his legs as much because he's trying to rely on his arm.
Whether he is or has been successful in doing so is another argument - one that has thoroughly and exhaustively been covered in this forum.

Dak is trying to follow in Young's foot steps. Young had to evolve into a passer; otherwise, he never was going to keep his starting job with the Niners.
Dak too is trying to develop his passing game rather than relying on his feet. He misses plays because he doesn't use his feet enough, in my opinion. But if he relies on his feet like Hurts, Jackson, Newton, McNair, etc., do/did early in their careers, it's going to inhibit him from becoming a better passer.

Your quarterback's first tendency has to be reading through his progressions and getting the ball out. Running quarterbacks generally reach their second progression and then take off; some only look at their first progression and if the receiver is covered, the quarterback is running.

Dak doesn't want to do that. And I commend him on that from the perspective of him not wanting it to be his automatic failsafe.

Having said all thus, I don't think he can be as effective as Young. Dak is not as instinctive as Young is and doesn't have the coaching Young received.

And we don't need him to be Young, we need to stop acting as if he is Young. Build the D and running game, and Dak's prolly good enough.

Dak’s stats are comparable to Deshaun Watson’s. The last time Deshaun Watson played he led the Texans to a 4-12 record. No one was saying Stafford was superior to Dak when he was in Detroit. In 14 seasons in Detroit he never won a playoff game and he still has a losing QB record.

Yes they were. Many were saying Stafford was top 5-7, including myself. Before the rise of the youngsters, there was talk of him being top 3 or 4.

I like the idea of him running more this season. And I have never seen him as a great runner. I have seen him be effective. Looking forward to a great season for Dak.

- then like the idea of him getting the other ankle and leg broken too....

- when he gets engaged like that, he takes on a RB mentality and starts fighting and wrestling with tacklers. thus tacklers will get even more aggressive and rougher
and go to wrestling and taking him down with weight, .. or holding him up for more incoming cheap shot head hunter

right i guess you missed his first 6 season developing the dude basically was HiIl over with the saints traded from TB to sf and then developed by one of the best qb coaches ever..took him until his 7th year to even get significant snaps and was 5-5 , his 8th year his first full years as 16 game starter the 9ers were great 14-2 , he played well but daks rookie year was better statistically than that as well as 13-3 and he was ROY. seriously the dak troll hate and the selective memory of some of you border on the insane.. daks every bit as good as young ever was and he wasn't on that 9er team.

He went to the Bucs who ate atrocious and he had NO HELP.
