Can Drew Bledsoe pass for 4,000 yards this year?

Oh ... I thought you were walking the tight rope there ...

I think he'll have retreaded his tires to be almost as good as new.

The final results of Super Bowl winning quarterbacks who played a full season (16 games + playoffs):

1995 Troy Aikman 3,304 yards
1996 Brett Favre 3,899 yards
1997 John Elway 3,635 yards
2003 Tom Brady 3,620 yards
2004 Tom Brady 3,692 yards

1999's Kurt Warner bucked the trend by passing for 4,353 yards, but we won't have the 'Greatest Show On Turf'. We won't need that kind of high octane offense or Bledsoe passing for 4K, imo, to be successful.

Good answer.

My two favorite players mentioned in the same thread...

Eddie George and Drew Bledsoe. Ouch!

Next thing you know Barb will start talking about how she like Nors more than me and then I'm tossing myself out onto Rt. 16 in front of a semi.

It will be kinda hard unless Henson gets injured in the first game of the season....

(come on, you know this thread would be quite boring without a qb debate;))

Dustin Long passed for 4,500 yards in his senior year ...

Don't bait her. She owes you one or twelve.

4K, even if we could manage it, would not be ideal. And I seriously doubt we do it by design anyway.

True.

I'd better watch my step. ;)

Actually that was good.

But I'm ready for when Barb wants to hand out an arse-whoopin!

A tank for midgets is gonna scare her?

All of the stars must be in proper alignment.

For some reason, I just don't see the stars cooperating.

Even playing catchup all year (which isn't going to happen by any stretch of the imagination) Bledsoe doesn't stand the chance of a snowball in hell of hitting the 4000 mark. I think 3000 would be stretching it.

With our RB trio, it's all about ball control.

With a young defense we will run the ball 30-35 times a game.

We will use the backs, Witten and Key in a ball control attack.

3,000 to 3,300 yards means we are winning games, 4,000 yards means we are playing catch up and we will be below .500.

We run it 35 times a game we are back in the playoffs - like 2003.
Jones came back and rocked - did not translate to wins.......

Yes, Bledsoe easily could throw for 4,000 yards this year. Want a balance though.

Nors...do you think Bledsoe will withstand injury? I have my doubts.
