Absolute hat tip and salute the hogs in the trough....stout defense and Oline domination goes a long long way down the road of championship teams.

We’ve survived so far because we bend but don’t break. However, our defense did break last week but our offense exploded. Opponents are going to continue to attack us on the ground and if we don’t improve our run defense, it will catch up with us in the playoffs if we make the playoffs. The last two times the Cowboys made the playoffs their inability to stop the run did them in.
You did not answer the question.

In a year where o-line play has been truly awful, the Cowboys' line has been surprisingly good!

So X, just curious is all.
Are you surprised that this OL has improved to this level of play at this point?
Personally, after losing TS, I thought it would take till the end of the season to get this OL at this level right now and even then, might not be enough.
This OL is playing really good ball right now, at the very least a more disciplined unit.

Speaking of Hogs, wouldn't it be nice to see the Skins upset the Vikings and the next week beat up Philly.
I have always hated the Skins, but will be a fan the next two weeks.

I didn’t see a question I had to go back and look. You left out the question mark. We can’t get to sack happy, we still have to contain gaps. First order of business is to stop the run. That should answer your question.

Yep I’m all in on that
Also never a skin fan but they were the original Oline Hogs...some real maulers n brawlers back in the day. I can see this line developing a rep...gotta love it

I might even consider a rubber hog snout being at least a consideration when they play philly......
Nope, on second thought I just could not do it.
"Go Skins" is about the extent.

Trent Williams is claimed to be the best LT right now. He's 34 and has missed time due to numerous injuries over the years. Currently missing time for an ankle injury.

Tyron could play for ten more years if he chooses.

I honestly think Peters could play a couple years, too. At least as a swing-type guy.

By the time post season rolls around and TS returns to full duty status, we might need to make room for the full house party on game day.
Pollard
Zeke
Davis
Ollison
Just a daydream but love the concept of going old school and pounding defenses with a strong running game.

I personally like how we keep 4 TEs, and use them all.

This offense is getting big right now.
Love how the TE room looks, and solid with Pollard and Zeke, and this OL getting better as a unit magnifies the entire offense success greatly.
We haven't even started making time or conversation yet for the 4th TE, starts with an M.
Gluttony is considered a sin, but I guess Im a sinner because we got really deep at TE which is every teams dream, and we are seeing results now.
Giants drafted Bellinger the same round we took Ferg, but Bellinger had an unfortunate accident and is on IR. Boo Hoo
Can I get away with that, its highly uncommon for a team to get results from one rook TE, but two rook TEs that show results is really unbelievable.
Ferg and Hendershot are developing quickly because the lack of WR depth before Gallups return and have now established respect with Dak and receiving options.
This offense now has the ability to play bully ball, play big when they need to, that is really such a huge advantage offensively.

I'm surely taking pleasure upon seeing how the Cowboys OL has been performing well, lately. The OL depth has improved noticeably with Jason Peters being a valuable addition there. Tyson Smith has performed appreciably as a rookie and appears to be very likely to improve with the passage of time. He has work to do to improve his pass blocking, but it's not overly surprising, since most rookies do. Terence Steele has greatly improved his consistency at RT, as well. All in all, things are looking quite encouraging there, to say the least . . . ;)

Yes, I agree, but how does this translate to accolades for the offensive line?

We've had our share of heroes in the first half of the season and some are on the offensive line but not exclusively.

I can think of at least three squads on the team that deserve applause before the O-line. How about the D-line, RB's and TE's?

Good teams are capable of absorbing bad calls. If they were a good team then they would be better than other teams by far more than a few bad calls.

Don't get me wrong, this O-line is trending in the right direction but they have been vulnerable to aggressive D-lines and there will be plenty of playoff opponents with those kind of lines. All I'm saying is that let's save he applause for when this O-line can succeed against one of those defenses.

our O line is coming together better than we thought....we dont need Tyron Smith at LT but in 3 weeks i just heard update he will be ready to practice so put him LT and Tyler smith LG and you have best line in football

as it is we are in top 5 O lines....and i totally agree with where you give applause D-Line RB and TE....we are coming together at right time....its time to go get that trophy
