Literally an absolute waste as a Head Coach.
I mean it's year 3, does he still not even know the playbook/ terminology?

I remember the offseason claim of Fix the Penalties and secondly, Him more involved in the offense.

And here we are.
AGAIN.
He’s made a big difference.

McCarthy is the HEAD football coach.
Has over a quarter century of calling offensive plays and a SB on his resume.

IF he is scared to tell Jerry that he could do a better job calling plays than Kellen, than he does not need to be the Head Football Coach of the Cowboys.

He knew exactly what he signed up for when he inherited Kellen in accepting the job in the first place.
No one put a gun to his head to be this walk around fraud collecting retirement portfolio checks.

If he don't think Moore is cuttin' it, elbow him the hell outta the way and take charge.

Like a real head coach.
he cant, kellen is not under him and has total control, and that is how ol jerry wants it.
only jerry could make the kinda change you might want.

I think he wants mike to help kellen, so kellen gets all the credit lol. Dont think mike wants that.
Mike and us fans have to ride the kellen train until jerry says otherwise. Jerry is the Emperor! and he is a little on the dark side lol.

The passing game is completely broken and needs to be addressed or they aren't going anywhere.

Blame Jerry and Stephen then.

They traded away Amari as well as other WR depth pieces in Wilson and Turner.

Then re-signed Gallup (who was injured), oft injured James Washington and drafted Jalen Tolbert.

You can fix lack of talent by adding lesser talent.

FYI - McCarthy cannot even keep track of the things he is already responsible for right now on game day.

Namely, clock management and challenge flags.

You really want to add more to his plate?

Well, he should just go ahead and promote his Garrett Part II project now then.

If you ask MM and offer a cheeseburger in return your odds will go way up.

You want to know how ridiculous Kellen Moore is?
Mccarthy is a guy who loves to air out the ball and yet he STILL has to reel More in.

I find it funny how people here hate on MM and give Dan Quinn all the credit.

MM turned a rookie LT, mediocre LG, unproven RT into a very good offensive line. He's done more with less whereas DQ has an extremely talented unit.

Just me, but I'm of the opinion EVERY head coach is involved in play calling via game planning during the week.

The dysfunction you are observing with McCarthy and the offense is entirely manufactured by Jerry Jones. Stop screaming about McCarthy and start looking at Jerry who engineered this situation when he hired the guy and forced Moore on him.

MM ain't gonna throw Moore under the bus. He stands at the forefront trying to deflect the criticism from his players and coaches to himself. You can bet he addresses problem areas and gives input with his assistants in meetings. We've seen the results of his influence this season.

- McCarthy won't take the play calling ... seems like the Jones wanted to stay put with Kellen no matter
Probably a mutual agreement between HC and management.

- It's clearly Kellen's offense - there will be no take over, suggestive input with McCarthy.
It is his until Cowboys organization decide to upgrade.

- If we fall in playoffs and McCarthy is asked to "retire" for the sake of hiring Quinn or Payton - that could change the dynamics of Kellen offense

- If the team hired Sean Payton - Sean is gonna want to run his own Saints- like offense, he'll have his own OC, or at the least, Kellen could remain the OC under Payton, but it
will definitely be Payton's offense.

- The complication of hiring Payton is what he'd be " acceptable " to Management will limit him too. Can he accept letting Wil McClay lead the player personnel charge ?
NFL draft, trades, Free Agency. Will Payton want more of a bite than management would be letting on ?
- The Tayson Hill contract was a major disaster and setback in Saints present/future via Sean Payton . That won't happen with the Jones.

-If Quinn becomes the HC, ..Kellen is staying as OC. Management would likely insist on Kellen staying. so he's Quinn's OC.

I'm hearing McCarthy overruled Kellen's urge to go for it on 4th and 2 near goal line.

He did not like the play Kellen wanted, and called timeout, to go ahead with the FG.

HC game managing decisions over OC play calling urge.

The entire offensive scheme blows. Even the Lions were able to read what was coming from the formations and motion. Moore's scheme is a checkers set.

MM should not have accepted the job then. He was not in the midst of bankruptcy or an ugly divorce. He wasn't broke. His inheriting Kellen was part of his hiring. Not forced. No one put a gun to his head to take the job.

What could Jerry actually do in the middle of an important game if McCarthy actually showed some balls and took over the playcalling?

McCarthy's first priority should be to what's best for HIS team and not cashing his retirement portfolio checks.

IF that means ruffling feathers with ownership, then at least at the end of the day he showed some integrity and backbone in standing up for what he thought was right.

Not this current walk around yes man puppet role he's playing.

He should grow a pair and if fired for that, so be it.
