Would you line him up man to man and hope for the best. I think you have to play him press coverage and get over the top help for Newman.

I would personally line up Newman with him wherever he was on the field, press coverage, and give him help over the top. I think Newman can stick with him on the deep ball but would be playing catchup and not in a position to play the ball thereby needing help.

How would you guys suggest playing him, he has been uncoverable in the games I have watched NE play.

I think there will be times that we will see one on one but for the most part who ever is on Moss will get help over the top.

Moss at 100% vs Newman at 95% at best? I doubt it.

Moss is almost un-guardable just by his physical skills alone.

I thought you guys told me Moss's career was over?

While I like Newman and think he is great. He isn't as good as say Kevin Smith (shut Jerry Rice down in his prime) was back in the early 90s for the Cowboys. That said, there are times when I would leave him one on one with Moss.

How about offer Oakland our 3rd rounder for Moss so the Patriots can't get him for a 4th?

Newman can probably run with Moss on the deep ball, but when the Patriots are in the redzone, I don't think he can out jump Moss on the lob. That first TD catch by Moss yesterday against the Bengals was almost undefendable. That guy is amazing. Not only did he make an outstanding catch, he knew to get both feet down. Moss is just going to out jump many corners expecially a 5'10 or 5'11 Newman.

Newmans better than Kevin Smith.

Newmans been shutting down the leagues best receivers week in week out with basically no pass rush for years.

I love Newman but I don't think there is a CB in the league who can go one on one with Moss and not give up the big plays.

No one can cover a healthy and motivated Moss ..... just like Rice, Irvin, and T.O.

The receiver always has the advantage. Rice and Irvin regularly burned Deion Sanders.

We have to get on Brady to stop Moss.

If we're in a red zone situation why not put Watkins on him. He has a better chance at defending a jump ball than our small corners.

Is Moss really THAT much better than Owens? Reason I ask is because Owens is a great WR but he can still be covered. If Moss is uncoverable then he must be a quantum leap better than TO. While that may be the case I've always thought they were on a par with each other.

Moss ability to go up and catch the ball at its highest point as well as his speed makes him very difficult. Now add the accuracy of Brady to place the ball where only Moss has a chance well you better have some help over the top or it will be a long day.

It's going to take pressure to stop the Pats. No corner can stop Moss one-on-one if Brady has enough time to find him.

Our pass rush needs to be in top form.

Moss is harder to cover because of his speed and vertical leap.

He gets down field very very fast and can out jump anyone.

TO is more of a YAC guy. He is better with the ball in his hands.

Its easier for Moss to beat double coverage than it is TO.

Speaking of Kevin Smith, I remember Moss getting a swing pass (his rookie year with the Vikings) and juked Kevin and proceeded to run like 60 yards to the end zone. Granted this was an older Kevin Smith, but Moss went crazy against us that game. I think after that game there were a lot of "should have drafted Moss instead of Ellis."

I'd Put Newman on the other WR by himself and double Moss.

Henry is big/strong enough to jam Moss so I hope he can play.
