If he shows a pulse in the Cardinals game, we win that game and most likely finish with a 13-3 record and a #1 seed in the playoffs.

Now the question is, has he shown anything since then that makes you believe he could win a game if Romo is out? The answer is no, he has shown us nothing.

He has been very poor in practice and if he's bad tonight, we need to move quickly to find a replacement.

We learned the hard way last year how one game and can change your entire playoff outlook. Like I said, if he shows a pulse, we beat the Cardinals and get an easier run to the Super Bowl. Why are we taking a chance with him again this year with so much at stake?

Only so much cap room and not too many guys good enough to effectively run an offense in the NFL that are willing to accept being the backup.

But to answer your question, no, I can't sell you on Weeden.

Not worth the time nor effort. I said it the first day he was signed.

they guy is a backup quarter back for a reason. just like all the other back up quarter backs in the league. why do people obsess over the back up QB? its not worth your time and energy. it is what it is just like every other team. he is an average back up quarter back in this league.

Weeden was pretty bad, but the team as a whole kind of mailed that one in. I won't put it solely on him.

He has shown flashes, its just the inconsistency that has plagued him his whole career. I think that's why they're still holding out hope, cause consistency usually comes with experience.

Not for less than 100 bucks.

I charge for adjectives reflecting a positive outcome when there really isn't one.

I'm sure there's a few left, like last year, that would still take him over Romo. Many of the same group that begged for Manziel.
ufc, gameover, the Natural, DoubleWing, CowboyStar88, maybe Section 444?....come on down!

He is not an average backup QB. That's being far too generous.

1. He is 4 years younger than Romo.
2. He throws a nice deep ball.
3. He's tall.
4. He's one of the goofiest looking QB's in the league.
5. Usually in a QB's 4th season they start to get it.
6. Lots of people want the West Coast offense so he's already ahead of the game with the check downs!
7. He once played MLB and we have had 2 other QB's recently that won games after doing the same.

Are you sold yet???

He had one bad performance against a top 5 defense when they were at their hottest. It's concerning but not a basis for instant condemnation.

His biggest mistake that day was trying to force it to Dez anyway. No one seems to want to talk about Peterson dominating that day. We love Dez of course.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Hell No.

This. There is a reason he could not make it in Cleveland. And it wasn't just because he did not have a good team. He's just not a capable QB. I know many tried to talk themselves into last year but he's not any good.

I have no idea why he's still our #2 this year.

Easy, he's a cheap insurance policy...You get what you pay for.
