I guess the question to ask is what backup QB in this league do you think could win some games if Romo went down?

Mark Sanchez seems to be one of the more popular names as the best or one of the best backups in the NFL.

You want him?

Is it just me, or does a guy like Fitzpatrick seem to end up starting everywhere he goes?

He's signed a 2 year deal for 7.5 million.

Weeden signed a 2 year deal for 1.2 million. IMO, he's only on the roster cause he's so cheap.

Sanchez signed a 2 year deal for 9 million. I'd take both over Weeden, but the FO wants a cheaper option and that's why he's on the roster.

Be interesting if the Cowboys have had any discussion with Jets about a trade for Weeden. He is better then Matt Flynn, Fitzpatrick, and Bryce Petty. At this point, I would explore a Zach Stacy for Weeden trade

I'd swap old milk toast straight-up for Fitzpatrick any day. At least Fitz can give you a couple of average performances every once in awhile.

At this point, we're going to have to tie a steak around his neck and hope that the neighborhood stray dog drags him off our roster....nobody is given us nuthin' for Carrot Top JR.
