Can we all agree that Dak is at least a decent QB?

Dak is very easy to assess. He is an average QB who sometimes has great games and sometimes has bad ones. Many of his bad games are against good defenses, not surprisingly. Unfortunately, good defenses are what you face in the playoffs. He did play well against Tampa, but he will never play well enough to beat 3 or 4 good defenses in a row. He is too average. Therefore, pretty doubtful Dak is going to get us to a Championship game or SB.

He is decent. There are worse QBs in the league. There are also a lot better QBs in the league and our problem is he is paid like those guys.

The Dak haters and Dak stans have their talking points, but what it seems to boil down too is this: Dak is an excellent regular season QB that simply fails in the playoffs. Nothing more, nothing less. It is his track record. Not winning enough in the playoff’s doesn’t mean he sucks. It means that he isn’t good enough when the stakes at highest. He is our Kirk Cousins.

Although I have supported Dak in the past, perhaps it’s time to move away from “good but not good enough.” But in reality, I see no options for this year other than stay the course and hope. I‘d like to see us draft a QB next year.

Short answer,nope..we all saw the last 2 games against the 9ers and how dreadfully he played..dude is a dud when the pressure is on..

Agree, when factoring in the cap, and outside QB talent available, he is the best option to get us to the play- offs in 2023.
I look (or hope) for MM to redesign the offense and add some talent thru the draft/FA enough that Dak will just be a bus driver going forward.
Jmo, but I think we are basically stuck with him for another 2 years now because of the recent contract redo, so a bus driver Dak is the best of a bad situation.

Dak is more than a decent quarterback and would be able in many franchises to get to a super bowl.

Dak is not able to overcome Jerry and the front office and I don't know of any other quarterbacks that could knock it out of the park with Jerry in charge.

You can't expect to win a super bowl no matter what quarterback you are with a front office that just cares about winning enough to stay relevant.

Ehhh some truth here I guess but reality is that this franchise would likely be way closer to a SB if they had Mahomes as QB or Rodgers in his prime or Brady in his prime or even Wilson when he was playing at a high level, etc.

It's a double edged sword with Dak. He's good enough to win a SB with a great team around him, he's not good enough to take a team with some flaws and cover up those flaws, like a better QB likely could.
