Can we beat Atlanta?

Nice sig.

Seriously. Why debate this after you see the sig?

On a completely unrelated note, playing with a turd ends up making your fingers stink, but doesn't really accomplish anything. I'm not sure I see the point.

We will stuff Turner, make Ryan one dimensional and........well it will be time for Ware and the boys to pin their ears back: they are very good, but very beatable. Kind of like Dallas.....

By following the roundabout argument some on here like to use on Sundays: We should've beaten a team in Denver that beat a team in New England that Atlanta wasn't even competitive against 2 weeks prior:cool:

On a more serious note, I don't know why any Cowboys fan would be so frail-hearted to not think we can win any game with the talent we field.

Theogt said it best in a post yesterday: this team can beat the best teams in the league and lose to the worst. I don't fear any team in the league if you match us up against them. We almost beat the Giants with a -4 TO ratio so I think we can beat Atlanta.

Now, if we work our butts off during the bye, get Felix back healthy and Miles and Roy fully incorporated in the passing game, along with the defense working on their Archiles heal (pass rush and focus during the 2 minute defense), then I think we can win the game convincingly and start a streak.

I love all these posts saying we have no shot, very little shot, etc, but I bet the first Falcon troll that comes on here mocking us, it will all turn, "we're gonna kick ya'lls ###" "Matt Ryan is overated" "how many sb's have the Falcons won?" etc, lol

That said, i'm pretty sure DIAF is a Falcon troll, he's gonna get an STD for all the love he's showing them.

The question is can we beat Atlanta.......the answer is clearly yes. We have the bye (let it be said this Cowboys team has never lost during the bye week), we are at home, and we may have the talent to play with some of the best teams in the NFL (regardless of stats I am unsure of this).

That said, will be win? Who knows with this team? Will Wade Phillips have this team ready to play? Will we have a good game plan in the red zone? I think even the Shadow may have trouble picking this game. It'll be interesting to see what the odds are.

Blue ribbon winning post of the day.

Some folks get suckered into debating with a moron because the moron suckers them into doing so for his own amusement.

Yeah Atlanta averages 25 points a game. That really was helped by 45 last week. It boosted them from averaging 19 a game to 25.5.

Roddy White has been a good receiver in the last few seasons. His per game average looked average until he came up against the same pass defense that Ogletree toasted.

Terrell Owens had a massive 505 yards receiving last season until we got San Fran's secondary. Tim freaking Hightower hung 120+ yards receiving against San Fran's secondary in week 1. A **** running back drops 120 on you and his entire 2008 total in receiving was 230?

C'mon, San Francisco's pass defense can be absolutely as hard to throw against as a light mist. Roddy White tripled his yards on the season with this one game. He can be shut down.

Atlanta allows 42% conversions on 3rd down. Dallas allows 30% and converts 37%.

We held Jonathan Stewart to -1 yards. Atlanta allowed him 65. Overall, Carolina dropped 452 yards of offense against Atlanta.

If that Atlanta defense shows up, they're screwed. Concurrently, if their offense and defense show up from the New England game, they're screwed. Both times, 130+ yards rushing surrendered by Atlanta.

You think Felix doesn't want back for this game?

There stands a very real possibility that we put another 200+ yards on the ground against the Falcons and Romo opens up a can of whoop dat ***.

Anyone who doesn't think we have a chance in this is certainly a "realist".

Yes. As shoddy as our overall play has been this season, our losses have been to arguably the 2 best teams in the league. We lost to the Giants at the gun in a game full of unforced TOs. And we lost to a tough Denver team in a very hostile enviroment. Another game that could've easily gone our way.

Atlanta is tough, no doubt. But we do have the horses to beat them, partcularly at home. The key will be turnovers.

We're just adopting the personality of our head coach.

We haven't been an underdog yet this season.

That's part of the problem.

The Cowboys can beat anyone. They can also lose to anyone.

Of course they can beat Atlanta, but I wouldn't bet on it. Atlanta is playing good, solid football, while Dallas is making the same mistakes that have frustrated us for years.

Sadly, this is the most reasonable post in the thread. The team is making the same old frustrating mistakes game after game after game. Make those against ATL and the suspense will exit the stadium early.

No.

As long as Wade is our coach, I dont like our chances. It's that simple. The guy is horrible.

I almost would have preferred if we lost, then a possibility would have been Wade getting canned.

Wade as head coach feels like Bledsoe at QB. We all know what we have in him, and it does NOTHING to inspire you. At least with a change of face, and a potential spark, there's a chance.

I'd rather take the chance of the unknown with Garrett as an interm than keep Wade and waddle around in mediocrity and the same play week in and week out.

I so feel your pain.

We can beat any team in this league, including ourselves...

Yep. We beat ourselves often thanks to the leadership (or lack thereof) from the venerable Wade Phillips.

Thank all that's holy then that Wade wasn't our head coach when we came from behind to beat Buffalo in under 90 seconds, when we beat 11-1 Green Bay, Sunday in OT....

The combined record of the teams we've beaten thus far?

1-14

Stellar.

There goes our BCS rankings.

Oh. So stats can only be used on one side of this ridiculous argument. I see how it works. ;)

yes.

1)dont have more than 1 turnover on offense(it will help if defense can get a turnover but that is asking too much for this defense)

2)get felix and austin invovled.the threat of both will open up other things on offense.

3)dont leave white alone ,play him like we did steve smith.

4)dont get in 3rd and long situations.we are not the 2007 cowboys.

5)run the ball more than 40 times.the falcons give up almost 5 yards a carry.this is the most critical and will tell me all i needed to know about red genius.
