You can't reason with someone who prefers to use measurable data to support an argument? Surely, you can. Right? You just need the right data.
The right data is on game film. Yesterday's game film.

People calling the decision with all the measurable data and evidence backing it stupid....I mean...this is really just kind of shocking.

That stupid play is over and done with, time to move on. I thought it was a bad idea at the time too. SD had controlled the field position the entire game up to that point. We finally get out of that jam and find themselves in no-mans land. 4th and 6, what to do......the proper play there was to punt and pin them deep keeping the field position in our favor.

If I was confident this team would attempt to gain at least 7 yards with only needing six, then I would say the proper play would be to go for it. But, alas, this is the Cowboys who would probably throw a 3yd out to Witten and not get the first. So, I stand by punting there with regards to the Cowboys, not your average NFL team with an offensive clue.

I have no problem asking Bailey to make that kick at the end of a half or game if needed but with almost 8 mins left in the 2nd, was the wrong call IMO.

News just in: We cut Chris Jones. Garrett was up all night studying stats and has decided we are just going to go for it on 4th down every time. Meanwhile, when given the same document, Belicheck immediately fired up his paper shredder.

I wouldn't have opted to kick it there, but he had the distance for it.
Of the things to be concerned about that was the least of them. The decision depends on game situations and the ability of your kicker and we have a good one. Obivously the results dictate a bad decision.

As he was going onto the field to kick it, I said, "he better push it to the right because there have been two kickoffs that direction that both drifted to the left corner of the endzone." Of course, it drifted to the left and he missed. Why can I see the wind effect at home and it apparently goes unnoticed by the coaches?

I dont think it was that bad of call at all really. We have a great feild goal kicker use him. He barely missed it and it was a 56 yarder

he had also made 2 54 yarders in the warmups, so JG was just placing faith in him getting it done. To me Bailey is the least of our problems

I thought that was asking too much of our kicker. I was yelling at the TV, "No, it's too risky for field position." I would have pooch punted and see if we can pin them inside their own 10.

I didn't like the call.

I would've probably gone for it if I was feeling like taking a risk.

Exactly, better chance of making it going for it than making the FG and then the Field position giveup is not as bad either.

That call could have been the difference in the ball game had Williams not fumbled at the goal line since San Diego scored a FG on that drive!
