I always thought the move was going to be benefitial barring some growing pains. La’el is so talented but not football smart and not a hard worker. We hate a culture that promotes that yet we are mad when we move on from those guys for the hard workers. Talent isn’t the only thing that defines success, this RT switch illustrates that perfectly.

Just out of curiosity, where does Collins rank?

I think he has been struggling mightily

I'm one of the few not surprised even a little by this.

He would be ranked in the top 7 or so if not for his fluke 4 penalty game in the opener. Everyone was bagging on him that game but it was the penalties only that were a problem. His actual play was no different that we have seen the last two weeks.

I told everyone that he outplayed Collins at RT last year, no one wanted to listen.

Farniok is obvious weak link on OL.

He's not bad as run blocker but really struggles anchoring as pass blocker vs power.

Will eat my crow on Steele. Gladly!

Plug in Peters to try and shore up that 66th rated Farniok, and we could be in business.

I think the consensus was satisfied with Collins being traded since we all were tired of him coming into camp out of shape and like it caught him by surprise. There was always something keeping him out of practice, and then the bribe attempt with the urine sample, and just being downright lazy. It was good riddance. He wasn't performing at an All Pro level that would have you sweeping all that crap under the rug. Steele, an UDFA, is performing adequate without all the headaches.

Anyone gonna acknowledge that Zack isn't the best G in football? Like I've been telling you guys. Still very good but not elite.

right Pregame talk was the 2 DE coming back for the NYG that would expose our weak OL on the edges.. only OL that got exposed was NYGs.. even our TES were blocking well..youing guys made mistakes but they also had some upside from the TE positions.

I knew allowing Peters to work in as a LG was the right move, while being called out by many saying 73 should move back to guard and peters at LT, you see those downfield blocks second and third level efforts and i said no, say No and that 73 job now.
I say 73 now is our LT even if 77 comes back 77 needs to be a swing tackle now..he may not limit and retire but the future is now we are young and hungry. If dak can take over for Romo, tyler can take over for Tyrone. its natural, its time to transition.

shouldn't be Steele vs Lael thread a OL thread all need to be commended.
