Can't blame this one on Romo

Yup and this is the first O line that could be called at least good.

Eh, I don't know about that. We had a pretty solid OL in 2007, everyone was pretty much either in their prime, or just exiting their prime at that point. But yeah, this is definitely the best in the Romo-era.

Tony had a great season and had a good game today. No one plays without mistakes.... no one. I wish that he didn't take some of the sacks that he does, but I don't think he's going to fix that at this point in his career. So you take the whole package and live with it.

One thing that's really frustrating, and I don't know if it's the play-calling or Romo, is how Dez Bryant just disappears for entire halves sometimes.

No I'm not going to blame Romo for this. He had a great season and except for that botch at the end of the first half played a pretty good game. These are just some of the breaks sometimes. I know I've been critical of Romo in the past but I really wanted him to win a SB. I don't know how many more good years he has but I hope he has a few more.

Get one more young, stud O lineman (RT?) in the draft, and we've got the best O line in the NFL for a number of years. Our success this year is directly tied to the resurgence of this unit.

Very true but the refs played a big part too.

There's nothing that the Cowboys can do about that while, on the other hand, they can and need to do something about their own play. Things were looking great until Murray's fumble, which seemed to change the tone the rest of the way. We scored only 7 points in the 2nd half, Rodgers passed for 227 in the 2nd half, etc.

I'm sure people will find a way to blame him. He wasn't at his best, but he didn't lose it. I feel like if he gets the ball back, he wins it. He moved the ball well.

No arguments here. Agree 100%.

He actually showed me why he wasn't the MVP today, his whole case has been built fraudulently around him being a one man team while Romo and Murray have each other and the "best offensive line in the league". Except today all I see was him standing with all day to throw (quite handy when you can't move) and dynamic RB and WR play.

Its a valid argument. Packers have 3 good WRs, a very good RB, and a very good OL. Their defense is slightly better than the Cowboys.

Add it all up and it makes it hard (in my mind) to vote Rodgers over Romo for MVP when Romo's rating is a bit higher.

I think our all world o-line could have stepped thing up a little more today and last week too for that matter. Still not sure why we have so much trouble picking up blitzes.

Romo ate the ball far too many times in the playoffs for his experience. He knows he has to get rid of those.

There is equal blame. This team is what it is, a group of overachievers that came up short.

Headlines like this are what make me sick:

"Rodgers Outduels Romo in Thriller" - NFL.com

Outduels???????/ Did I miss where Romo got the ball back and failed? Bc it looked to me like there was a reversal on a TD and then he never saw the ball again b/c our DEFENSE failed to get yet another stop. THIS is why things are aggravating.............

He played extremely well today. He did mishandle a snap and possibly held the ball too long for a few sacks but he played well and delivered to Dez when it counted only to get screwed by the refs.

Romo Killed drives that couldve put the game away. The offense as a whole failed. The defense held the packers in check for over 3 quarters. The offense had alot of chances to blow this team out. Bad plays called, Romo taking sacks Murray fumble and Bailey miss. Get out of here with the ref's excuse. It was the right call on a horrible rule. My point is the game shouldve never have had to come to a desperation throw by Romo on 4th down.

I believe a lot has to do with our game plan, I mean for us to win we DON'T need to feed Dez the ball. For example, Romo only threw the ball 19 times today, and completed 15 passes. With our running game, I honestly don't see how we can get Dez involved more without forcing it to him. We don't want to be like DET with CJ where all they is force it to him, and because of that they're a sloppy team that turns it over a bunch. Our game plan is all about balance and once you start targeting Dez more you're taking targets away from Cole Beasely and Jason Witten who have been huge this year in crucial downs. It's honestly a good problem to have, now if those other guys aren't producing then I'd agree with you, we'd have a huge problem.

Sorry but that was a catch by the rules. I fully expect an apology to be issued saying they made a mistake.

Perhaps because the guys who ran the short routes weren't open, so they weren't high-percentage throws? And Dez was one-on-one?

This. Also, no one saw it coming. It's a huge risk, but it almost paid off.

IDC if it was a catch or not. What does an apology do? Do they get to replay the last part of the game? The game shouldve been over by then is the point.

Give me a freaking break LM, I usually agree with your takes but please. Romo had Dez Bryant one on one and decided to put the ball in his playmakers hand with the game on the line. Romo threw a perfect pass, and Bryant went over the defender and snatched it. Sadly Dez didn't "catch" the ball, can't really knock Romo or Dez on that play, it's a joke of a rule that needs to be changed.
