Can't blame this one on Romo

Not sure you can complain about that given how many points this team scores. We take advantage of mismatches. I would complain if we were not scoring. We have so many options it's not necessary to force feed one player.

I've made no mention of force feeding Bryant, it's simply concerning when he disappears for entire halves.

It was the perfect throw. Im sure there were safer plays. Now Dallas fans feel the way Detroit fans felt last week.

Except in the Detroit game there was no PI and today it was a catch. Just because they got it right last week doesn't make me feel any better when they screw the pooch this week.

It was a shoot out. 2 drives he shot hisself in his got!

Romo and those drivers were the game.

If you blame Romo and his 140 something QB rating over Murray and his game-losing gaffe, and a D that came up small in big moments, you're out of your mind. Romo brought them down for a potential game-winning drive when the refs took away a huge, well-placed pass to Dez (put it where Dez could go up and do what he does best). Blaming Romo shows an absolute lack of football knowledge. Just stop.

Playoff games like this are rarely in the 30s and 40s. Our offense basically put up 28 (refs). The Murray fumble and Bailey miss could have cost a few more we'll never know.

Defense had a hobbled QB and gave up too many 3rd downs and tackled poorly. They tried hard we just need better players on defense. Period.

Romo is the leader out there.

Have to sustain those drives.

Look, I pull for Romo. I do. It's well known.
But the guy ain't it.

Every year, and I mean EVERY year there is an excuse for teams shortcomings.

Enough. The excuses need to "stop".... Not me.

Difference is that we made a play and the refs took it away. Detroit (with over 8 minutes left!) threw a ball at a defender's back, there was def holding and offensive facemask, and no PI. Should've been offsetting or no call. They got no call. There is no comparison between the situations regardless of how the media tried to spin the Detroit crap all week.

Don't disagree. I think they find a lot of match ups they like when Bryant get double teamed. Also I think romo is cautious about risking Int and not forcing into tight windows.

Sorry but that was a catch by the rules. I fully expect an apology to be issued saying they made a mistake.

It will probably happen and it won't make anyone truly feel any better just like I'm quite sure Lions fans don't feel any better after the league said they blew the call in the Lions game.

Is this a serious post? Nobody could be that clueless. Could they?! Romo led the league in passer rating and had 2 good games in the postseason (over 100 rating i believe and no ints). Taking a couple of sacks over the course of an entire game DID NOT offset all of the positives he brought. Defense came up small, refs killed us, bailey miss, and THE MURRAY FUMBLE! Are you kdding me?! Wow.

It's just easier to blame Romo. I was happy he didn't throw any late INTs. Hoping he wouldn't get the blame but as usual....

I just hope it sheds light on the play for rule change or at least clarification and keeps the idiot official from being able to ref in the Superbowl.

What do you mean by "excuses"? The reason is that the team hasn't been very good. Is "not very good" an excuse? That's the reason most teams don't win championships. In particular, the defense hasn't been (and still isn't) very good, certainly not good enough to win a championship. That we made it as far as we did this year was nigh on a miracle. And Romo's a big part of that miracle.

Romo has been one of our best players, and he was one of our best players today. Was he perfect? No. But he made a bunch of plays, didn't turn it over and certainly appeared to me to put us in position to win at the end (although the refs saw it differently). We fumbled a sure touchdown, missed a field goal, gave them great field position on kickoffs, generated zero pass rush and had perhaps the worst safety play I've ever seen today, but because Romo took a couple questionable sacks, he's the problem?

Clueless and passer rating. Both wrong.

Neither had anything to do with making plays when they count the most.

Aaron fumbled. The. Proceeded to gimp his way to 3 TD's and 300 plus yards.

Are you kidding me with these perennial excuses for Romo?

Intangibles. Don't make negative plays.
Extend drives with passes to Beasley. It was there.

I will be ok rebuilding at QB position.

Danny white. Jim Kelly. Went far... No excuses.

Look at Andrew luck tonight?

To me, "intangibles" means, "I don't have a real reason."
Luck? You mean the guy who's thrown two interceptions today? Those aren't negative plays?
The QB is the biggest individual part of any team. That doesn't mean that nothing else matters.

I never once even thought he would throw a pick today, it just never entered my mind. He's extremely efficient at this point in his career and if he stays healthy next year we should be odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl net year because the defense HAS to get better.

I'm new here and wanted to say hello. Totally agree on your observations re: Romo. He has truly matured into an efficient and intelligent quarterback. I expect that he will continue to perform well assuming that we can keep that rickety back functional and have the other offensive pieces in place for him.

So hi from a native Texas now living in Baltimore.

Intangibles - I have defined them specifically. Nice try though.

Luck - the guy leading his team with a bunch of players that wouldn't be starters on most other NFL teams.

I guess we could make an excuse .... Oh but wait... Luck IS carrying his team.
