My only fear and the only reason I say go all-in is by the time we build through the draft is by the time we are there we will be without a QB. If we had Luck as our QB yes continue to build but our QB is heading into the end of his career and who know when he will be replaced.

Dallas is very young outside of Romo, Witten and JD Ladouceur

They could use some veteran studs to go with the young guys

Give me Suh and I can fill in the rest with the draft, FAs and re-signing some of our guys

But that youth is why we are where we are at. Not because of the vets. I say continue to take the same approach that got you here. Keep drafting and look for a "Suh" in the draft.

Find me 3 players in the draft

I'll take one big money FA but that's about it.

Continue drafting well and the transition to the next QB should be seamless.

Next QB should be seemless? How many teams have been looking for a QB for years? We where one of those teams until we lucked into Romo.

Maybe we luck into another Romo!

I'm not into buying the best FA

How many years did it take us to luck into Romo? I fear by the time we do again our young line wont be so young and intact anymore. Our most important piece of the cog is aging and the window is closing

Well its easy to say that in hindsight but in this offseason Ware was the best pass rusher out there in free agency, Talib and Revis were the best corners and Ward was the best safety.
We as cowboy fans saw Ware play as a shell of his former self. And Anybody who saw Talib could see he was all hype. And Ill add Revis was the top CB not Talib.
Darrelle Revis
Brent Grimes
Vontae Davis
Antonio Cromarte
Sam Shields
Brandon Browner

Exactly and there's nothing anyone can tell me otherwise.

Now understand, you can pick up a few pieces here and there but to think "Oh let's get Suh" or "Oh let's get AP". The moves don't need to be that big. Any holes on this team should be addressed with draft picks.

It happens year after year. Teams who succeed in this league do it by drafting well and having hungry players out there. Just think about it. If you have a big contract than what do you have to play for? You've already gotten your big contract. Drafting allows for you to obtain cheap players who can contribute and play hungry. Hitchens is a prime example of that.

The Pats getting Revis looks like a pretty solid move

There is no magic formula that spells out exactly how much to spend on FAs vs Draft Picks. Guys like Suh and AP can make a huge difference, usually more than draft pick can.

Keep drafting well, but don't refuse to look at big time FAs because some don't work out

That doesn't mean it will take that long again. We also had a garbage roster for many of those years. That shouldn't be the case for the next QB.

Yeah but the narrative on Ware was he was hurt last year. He was still the best pass rusher out there whether you agree or not.

And going into the offseason it was Talib and Revis as the best corners. Revis was coming off a down year for his standard which is why he was cut by the Buccs. Talib was a solid corner last year. He was coming off of shutting down Jimmy Graham. He was shutting down #1's last year.

Pats got to the AFC championship game last year as well. And if you can get someone to take a 2 year deal like Revis did than i'm for it. I'm not against that type of deal. I'm talking about giving Suh 100 million or giving big money to AP. Those moves aren't necessary.

You mean do what the Bronco's did that resulted in them losing in the 1st round of the playoffs?

Exactly. Because as we all know, there is only one possible results, and that is what happened to the Broncos.

Ridiculous.

The window is now. Romo ain't getting younger.

I wouldnt give AP big money either but Suh if we can structure it right. Sign me up. Just have to many holes on D tofix in a year or two before you start having other leaks.

If our OL plays at a high level for a long time, you could develop a QB with great protection and a strong running game.

There is plenty of evidence out there, but having a top OL is a good thing towards their development.

Yeah there are more results. You have the Deadskins who didn't even make the playoffs who spent money on Jason Hatcher, Desean Jackson among others. You have the Aint's who spent money on Jairus Byrd......then you have teams like the Cowboys.....who didn't really do much....picked up a few pieces here and there and drafted well and added 4 wins to their 8 win total of last season. Seems like a refreshing take on a off-season.

I don't think there's a way you can structure a 100 million dollar contract when you already have 2 100 million dollar contracts and that's without counting Dez.
