Caption This (Dez @ Charity game)

Being a pro athlete changes everything. Risking millions to show off is stupidity. Especially when you are whining about long term security............Duh..........

I think being a pro athlete (especially one of the best athletes in his craft on the planet) makes it that much less likely that he'll injure himself performing an athletic stunt.

I hear you, and I'd agree more if Dez wasn't actually an athlete, and instead was an actor, or someone else who stands to lose millions if seriously injured. But if anyone is going to pull this kind of thing off and not be injured, it's Dez.

I know we can argue this until we're blue in the face, so I will concede that no matter how athletic you are, I realize that there is always the chance of injury with things like this (that celebration injury is a good example).

It has nothing to do with July 15th, you know that right? It just means teams can't sign him to an offer sheet anymore.

He can sign the tag and still get a new deal before July 15th.

It means if he gets hurt working out or practicing the 12.8m is guaranteed.

So you don't understand business sense and leverage.

Got it.

Dez has no leverage. He plays for the tag or doesn't play if they can't reach a compromise.

Not signing the Franchise Tag has ZERO impact on those negotiations. It only helps Dallas.

Yeah but you don't think negatively about every thing you do, worst case scenario. It's not likely he breaks his neck from a simple back flip

If he doesn't complete it, there's a possibility. Liking the guy shouldn't cloud your judgment in seeing what he did, was idiotic.

He don't care about Dez breaking his neck. All they care about is Dez being able to suit it up, run, jump and score for their football team ... (and stay in his place). Period. Point blank.

We need a "drops the mic" emoticon. :)

I wonder if there's a way for an admin to add this (but smaller of course)...

Quick. You should go tell the agents of all these players who haven't signed their tags that they are really just helping their teams and not their players who they work for.

The Franchise Tag has survived a couple CBAs, it isn't going anywhere. There is no way to 'game' the system.

Be sure to tell your clients when they get injured or arrested that they get nothing because you gave them stupid advice about leverage that doesn't exist.

Hopefully you are emailing Tom Condon right now. He needs your help.
