I might not even be alive then, but I will try my best to make it.

Just rub some flaxseed oil on your head. You'll make it, and you'll be the all-time home run king by then. It's a win-win.

this is rediculous, players get waaayyy too much money in the first place. i wonder if they would still feel the same way about this extra revenue if the nfl went back to $20.00 hr. i guarantee you they would change their tune. never satisfied!!!!

I don't mind the NFLPA, 60% doesn't seem that bad to me, the NFL is one of the lower paying leagues (unless you are a QB, RB, WR or CB and top tier). My only beef is revenue sharing.

1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES !!!!!!!!!

Extension, deal or rejection?

At this point my call is the owner reject. They look like weenies if they come out after 2 days and say - OK.

I just saw where they extended the deadline to 11:00 EST. ON NFL Network. It was on the crawl at the bottom of the screen. I am pretty sure it was the deadline they were talking about. Can anyone clarify that?

I see another delay to FA. Just my own oppinion. Which also shows that both sides know the deal needs to be done. As stubborn as the players have been, agreeing to extend it shows that they know that they need a deal to. I think the players need to just look at Baseball and Hockey and see, lockouts only hurt the players. Besids stadium leases (if the owner has them themselves), they don't lose all too much money. They lose out on money from operations, but they have no operating costs.

this is sick. when are the cut deadlines?

I think all that depends on the CBA. They can't make you cut a load of players based on a projected $95milion cap, only to bump it up to $105million.

NFL | Salary cap deadline pushed back two hours
Wed, 8 Mar 2006 15:33:43 -0800

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports, the NFL's waiver deadline to get below the salary cap has been moved back two hours, from 9 p.m. ET Wednesday, March 8, to 11 p.m. ET.

NFL | More on owner's meeting
Wed, 8 Mar 2006 15:28:23 -0800

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports, as noted earlier, NFL owners are studying at least four different revenue plans. There is a Pittsburgh model being pushed by Dan and Art Rooney of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The plan would have each team put 25 percent of local revenues into a pool that would be distributed to teams in the lower end of the revenue streams. There is a New England Patriots/New York Jets model that expands on an already existing local revenue sharing plan. Currently, $40 million of local revenue is being shared. The Patriots/Jets model expands that number significantly. At this point no system has the 24 votes needed to pass.

This is beyond ridiculous. Why can't they set a deadline and actually stick to it?
