yah Hurts 3 is laughable. Perfect example of a QB getting way too much credit for a teams success and one season.

Hebert is too high as well. What has he done?

Stafford down at 18? LOL

Hilarious how the talking head sway so wildly based on team success or failure.
Herbert has played better than just about any QB in the league but just lacked the players around him. It sort of emphasizes why wins are a team stat and not an individual stat.

It's laughable you don't use Dak as your perfect example.
The Herbert comment shows your fan perspective

Hurts had a MVP type year last year, finishing 2nd to Mahomes.

Based on last year, yeah, him in the Top 3 isn't that eye opening. Let's see how he does in his second full season.

Watson at 10 is the real howler.

Whats very interesting to me about this list is that Trevor Lawrence is above Dak. Which is fine. I get it. But did no one watch his playoff game? The guy threw 4 picks and if it wasnt for an epic collapse and brain fart but the OC of the chargers they lose that game because of him. Yet he gets all of this praise? Its weird.

There’s 1 super elite win with whatever QB (Mahomes)
1 guys who’s another deep playoff season away from being a super elite win with whatever guy (Burrow)
4* guys with the all around talent to be in that Mahomes tier (Allen, Herbert, Lawrence, *Rodgers if you believe he hasn’t fallen off much physically)
3 guys who are superior athletes with the ability to throw but not quite elite throwers yet (Hurts, Jackson, Watson)
5 guys who are good to very across the board but not really elite at anything (Dak, Cousins, Geno, Goff, Carr)
4 guys who have some elite qualities but due to size, injury, and/or fall-off are now question marks (Murray, Wilson, Tua, Stafford)
4 outside looking in (Daniel Jones, Garrapolo, Tannehill, Mac Jones)

18 total guys you can win with, they just need varying levels of support. 4 guys who if you squint could do it, but they need it all to be absolutely perfect. Anyone not named above is not a starting caliber guy for more than a year or so, excluding Rooks obviously.

I find that it’s not necessarily a ranked order, just different tiers of support needed to win.
This is a great way to look at QBs.

Various:

Herbert has to play winning football before I place him above 8th.
He's on coach 3 or whatever so maybe that's the issue but 10-7 last year and basically .500 for his career is hard to endorse at top of league.

AR12 has to perform after last season's shambles but he is obviously all-timer. 6 feels low.

Lamar has some weapons and I like his chances to impress but he is not top 8 based on the last 24 months' worth of work.

Hurts was great last year but no way I move anyone to 3 based on one great season.

Just like the many in here, they failed to mention Dak had no weapons last year, plus an oft-injured Oline. Heck, Aaron Rodgers faired worse for the same reasons, yet they have him ranked higher? It's all personal bias rankings. So obvious.
It’s funny how Dak is rated by the media. I don’t like the order but Dak is a top 10 quarterback.

I think it's pretty close, but I would rank Josh Allen ahead of him. They've also ridiculously over-rated Dak Prescott. Dak hasn't earned the #9 spot. He should be at about 16. He's average at best.

These rankings almost aways ignore the fact that football is a team sport.

Look at Mahomes, who I agree is the hands-down best QB in the league, but when his OL was beat up v. Tampa he was far from perfect.

Hurts really went from being a below average QB to #3 in one year? Come on. Maybe it has something to do with having the best Oline in the NFL and two #1 WRs and an elite TE?

One NFC QB ahead of Dak if that holds true Dallas has a chance to make some noise with the Defense they have.
