I'm still really annoyed at the way Romo played last Sunday, but if we are being honest he normally has at least one or two games like this per season where he just does not see the field well. He was sluggish against Philly and late against Green Bay last season, 2012 he had a few major stinkers against Chicago, the Giants and the Commanders. Who could forget Detroit in 2011?

Personally I am hoping that he just got his one stinker out of the way for the year and he will be able to go back to that guy that makes us forget last Sunday for about six games or so.

This has been my stance. Romo typically has 2 of these kinds of games a season.

That very same thinking is the reason the Romo era failed greatly, Jerry completely ignored solidifying a defense, bringing in a proven HC, and also not relinquishing his duties of GM. I agree about the offense part though, if Romo plays a good game then we probably win pretty easily, especially if we ever got the lead with our running game. Hopefully next week turns out different or it's gonna get even worse.

For gods sakes man, I was speaking of the offense.:omg: I be banned for my thoughts on Jerry boy.

I wouldn't micromanage Romo. He's a gunslinger. He's going to have games where it cost you, but you live and die with it because he's the only chance the team has.

only way to solve this problem is to get a new coach and a new qb. Romo needed a coaching staff that would have kept their thumb on him and disciplined him, not a green coach who was his buddy. We need an nfl ready coach that will mold our new qb into playing disciplined ball. At this point, Romo is what he is. If we corral him in, he looks mediocre like that one year we told him to play it safe.

We're approaching the year 2015 and we're still here talking about how to make things more "Romo friendly". Am I in the twilight zone?

What about 32 TD's, 10 INT's and almost 4,000 yards don't you guys get? Honestly it's like the soup of the day where the emotional roller caster leads to complete loss of memory. He has a bad day, we get a little bloody nose and it's revisionist history and lamenting the "lost"years.

Romo friendly would've been more than adequate to not only get us into the playoffs but maybe a home game with a top ten defense, or top fifteen or even top twenty, but when it's been proven that historically nobody could've won the last two years with that disaster, it's less about Romo and more about everything else.

Now i'm falling into the same trap for the 10,000th time - I have officially met the definition of insanity.

Romo is incapable of winning us a Super Bowl regardless how good the team is around him. There is no way this guy can win us 3 or 4 games in a row in January, on primetime, in hostile environments. When the pressure builds, he's going to have one of these games sooner or later. It's just who he is. So all those stats are irrelevant to me when we all know this guy cannot go on a 3 or 4 game playoff stretch without making critical mistakes. He can barely do it in the regular season, how could anyone envision him doing it deep in the playoffs?

Honest to God Z I don't have it in me. If you don't think he can win, okay. I think if he would've had a strong coaching presence like Parcells and a solid organization I think it's a no brainer. As it is he's the only reason we've even sniffed 8-8

How much is that QB making who the coaching staff has to remind not to throw the ball to the other team?

Good grief has this franchise become a joke. It's embarrassing.

I give him credit for getting us to 8-8 but have you ever considered that maybe that's just his ceiling?

vs. Chicago
at New Orleans
at Seattle
vs. New England

Imagine that's our road to the Super Bowl. Does anybody actually believe Romo could ever in his life go thru that gauntlet without having one of these goofball games?

Yup, can maybe just limit his temptations like in the situation of inside the 5, with a yard for a 1st and then 2 more for a TD............go jumbo, stay jumbo and work on creating a tougher mentality for this team that desperately needs such a self identity.

Turn on film from last Sunday's game, strap Romo to a chair, tape his eyelids open, and use aligator clips connected from his nipples to a power source to shock him everytime a play shows him throwing into coverage.

Get in his face! That might do for a start. Putting him on short leash might do for a follow-up. Inside the 5 yard line "we will be running the damn ball", with NO OPTION for "cutesy" until otherwise allowed. Can we count on Jason Garrett to ball up like this?

You should just take over the board today, everything you're saying is gold young man.

How do you expect him to get in his face when they are BFFs off the field. This is why I expressed angst throughout the offseason when these two were seen together everywhere. I really hate the country club atmosphere around this franchise. You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours...when it's time to talk to the boss we'll throw ______ under the bus.

I was benched for having a potty mouth during the game. I feel rejuvenated. Especially with these new smiles.

Yep, I hear you...just fill in the blanks with your favorite whipping boy. When I heard the BFF thing, it just confirmed my belief that one or likely both of these guys will not be part of any championship season in Dallas. Jimmy Johnson said it best... no fear in Dallas. Personally, I welcome Garrett's departure...sooner the better, especially for Romo.

The thing is, Parcells', IMO, would've eventually moved Romo out for a more trust worthy QB. Romo can fling it around no doubt, but stats don't win championship, just ask Aikman, ask Russell Wilson. Taking care of the ball, not taking sacks, getting first downs, and putting the ball in the end zone (consistently). You can't start showing up in the 3rd or 4th qtr, you need to come out swinging and hop on teams fast.

Now what I'm worried about is the velocity he has on his passes. OMG, if he doesn't get that fixed, let's just trash the season get the 1st pick.

I don't think that statement is true anymore. Murray and the OL can win ball games without Romo being a gunslinger. Romo is not the only chance for us to win anymore we can be a run first team

Thank you. I was hoping someone said this. This QB isn't a rookie anymore.
An old saying goes......If a dog doesn't bite as a pup, he probably isn't going to ever bite.

As a pup, Romo didn't buy into the importance of protecting the ball at all times. I don't think he will change his ways now.

The guy had 31 TD's and 10 INT's last year lol. Isn't that the definition of protecting the ball? He's gotten much better in that regard to the point where he's playing more conservative prior to Sunday's game.
