It certainly makes the Jaylon pick sting that much less, doesn't it, Proof!? Not that he will, I have hope, but burning a second that doesn't pan out stings less with all your aforementioned hits!

It definitely does. Walking away with arguably/potentially the best rb in the draft along with a franchise qb makes up for anything. If and when Jaylon hits the field on top of that.... man! That's the type of young, premium talent infusion that changes a franchises fortune overnight

That was supposed to say arguably the best rb in the league. There's no argument about best in draft. Although from some of the recent posts here I guess anything is arguable :lmao:

Jordan Howard has an argument. I'd still go with Zeke, but Howard has been equally impressive thus far.

Not a more positive impact, an impact in a bigger area of need and at a price cheaper than the going rate. Regardless, zeke was obviously the right pick.
Why was it obviously the right pick? The decision to draft Zeke will have a decade long impact. We aren't even a season in.

1 Mo is playing as well as Rmasey for 2.5m
2 Beasley has better numbers than Sheppard AND we get Jaylon Smith
4 EE>>>>>>>>Howard AND we get Tapper for 3 more years

I'll take our draft over a your hindsight draft all day

-Claiborne and Ramsey would both be on the field, and Claiborne will be getting 9M+ next year, IF we are able to keep him
-Shephard would start over Williams, who he's miles better than
-Tapper may never play football again
-Smith may never play football again
-I take it you haven't watched Howard play much. He's putting up 5.8 YPC, has 110+ yards in both his starts and is catching the ball out of the backfield. And he's not running behind our line.

Go root for them......I'll root for my team

Ramsey is already getting 6.5m
Sheppard is a slot guy not a WR2
Tapper and JSmith will both play big roles for DAL
I saw Howard when DAL killed CHI and EE ran wild

You can be a fan and be objective.

-Ramsey would be making exactly what Zeke is making
-Shephard is playing on the outside and has been great for a rookie
-Wanting something to happen is different than knowing it will happen; you want Tapper and Smith to play big roles. I do too, but the fact remains that they might never play football again.
-Maybe you should watch more than one game before establishing an opinion a player. He had a higher YPC than Zeke in that game, BTW.

He has barely been targeted and has allowed only short catches. According to PFF's data --

Week 1 against Green Bay -- allowed 3 of 4 for 25 yards.

Week 2 against San Diego -- allowed 3 of 5 for 25 yards

Week 3 against Baltimore -- allowed 4 of 6 for 13 yards

Ramsey played all but three snaps in those games, against Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers and Joe Flacco, who threw 34, 25 and 40 passes, respectively. He allowed 10 catches on 15 attempts (a "burn rate" of 66.7%) -- but only 6.3 yards per catch, 4.2 yards per attempt, 21.0 yards per game and less than 0.65 yards per opponent pass attempt. All of those numbers are very, very good.

I don't have the Week 4 numbers from PFF, but Andrew Luck threw 42 passes for 234 yards (5.6 YPA).

So, there have been some outright lies going around on this site that Ramsey was getting beaten like a drum in coverage. Not surprised.

Only Zeke can be successful, no one else is allowed to be.

Why the heck were you comparing Beasley with Shepard? Shepard would be a guy competing with Williams, not Beasley. Sure, in some packages I'm sure Shepard would be in the slot, but why the heck do you think he was a second rounder? He was one of the more polished WRs coming out of college, he can play outside and in the slot.

I would have felt a lot better drafting Shepard in the second rather than Smith.

Not at all.

My whole argument at the time, and feel free to research, was that Elliott fit the best and frankly, we wouldn't have known what to do with Ramsey to begin with.

We totally could have brought back the Star position to the backfield!
