CD Lamb is already a better “88” than Dez Bryant

There is nobody outside of Dallas in 2014 that would have taken Dez over Megatron or Julio. Great season but he was behind those guys.
Yea except the national media decided Dez was a unanimous top 2 WR in football in 2014. Julio didnt even make the second team. Stop the revisionist history.

Dez won’t even get a nomination to the Hall while both Megatron and Julio will have casts but keep living in LaLa land.

#88 Club

Michael Irvin - CEO
Drew Pearson - COO
CeeDee Lamb - Senior VP but on Pearson’s coattails
Dez Bryant - Director
Antonio Bryant - janitor
Agree.

But the catch Antonio was trailing the DB, jumping, reaching over and in front of the defender, to snag what looked like a sure fire interception, might be the best reception of any #88 in Cowboys history.

The level of difficulty to make that catch while essentially not touching the defender for OPI was just crazy. Haven't seen a reception like that in the NFL since. Seen a few College catches like it, but not in the NFL.

AB may have been the best "Pure" WRs the Cowboys ever had. It's just a shame he played on such bad teams and such a headcase.

Ceedee is a 1st team lock as long as he finishes the year strong. If he drops a dud or 2 these last 2 games it's debatable. If he hits 100 plus both games its a wrap. It'll be him tyreek and..........brown/st brown/Mike Evans
They are going to force-feed him these next two game so he can get the yardage record.

In fact, Ceedee o125 yards and anytime td scorer seems like a lock this week

If Dez hadn't wanted the ball and voiced it in the huddle, he would have been here longer. he got bush-daked.

Dez was a much, much better competitor. CD at the catch point this year has been wildly disappointing, and he constantly gives up on routes when he feels like there should be a flag.

CD is a route runner, through and through, right now.

Was genuinely sad the day I clicked on the web and read about the fight between him and Parcells with the towel throw. Knew his career was probably over soon.

My favorite catch is the one in Parcells second game, last play of the game to win it. Wonder if Big Mac and Dak could take advantage of an opponent mistake like this and do some end of game, time management heroics like this? Based on what I've seen, my guess is no. But Parcells and Quincy did it.

The biggest problem with Dez was that he was a complete Diva; yet he had so much fire that he reminded me of Irvin.
Tony knew how to work with him; sadly Dak did not.

I wouldn't mind one bit. Good things happen when we get the ball to CeeDee. And if that's the case, they better get him as close as possible tomorrow, because Washington will do all they can to keep him from getting it.

Except the redzone imo. Bryant / Romo were unstoppable with the fade.
yup, Dak just couldnt get the ball placement with Dez that Romo could…..shortened Dez career here. Soooooo many fade and jump balls that Romo put on Dez, like the one against the Texans.

I think people are forgetting what really caused Dez's production to fall off. Which was he was forced to play with a QB who would not throw into to a guy who was covered. Easily 80-90% of Dez's catches were with a DB right next to him. Romo trusted himself and Dez to go ahead and throw the ball to him anyway. For Dak's first three seasons he absolutely didn't and wouldn't. I firmly believe peak Dez with this version of Dak would threaten 100 catches 1800 yards and 15 TDs every year. I think the Cowboys made a huge mistake releasing him in 2018 and had to waste a #1 pick trading for Cooper to replace him. That pick could have been a pocket crunching DT or a road grading lineman. It was a dumb move and it cost this franchise. Just like dumping Cooper has cost this franchise. So the Cowboys essentially doubled their stupidity by dumping Dez then using a #1 pick to replace him, then dumping the replacement. Absolutely brain dead.
Becuz Dez lost play speed and could no longer gain separation.
1) the injuries to his wheels were taking a toll
2) he depended so much on his strength and ferocity to get him by, that he never took his
route work serious enuff ' to perfect it.

He could've been at least been maybe at the level of a Antwon Bouldin, Rod Jones, Pierre Garcon,
or later years Brandon Marshall if he was adept at route running, but he never hone his routes to make it
that much of a operating craft.
Tried a desperate attempt to hook with a " route- guru " David Robinson when waive rumors started boiling.
